  • You won't be able to use your previous Freewell filters with the K2 system. Our setup is designed to fit all sizes up to 82mm, so we had to make adjustments to ensure compatibility with all lenses.

  • No, Because it is designed to be a one-size-fits-all solution. However, the K2 filter system used premium optics with 18 layers of multi-coating to reduce lens flare and reflections, so you may not need a lens hood when using this system.

  • Stacking additional filters in front of the 1-5 or 6-9 stop filters is not possible. However, you can use a straight ND, gradient, and CPL together, which can achieve a similar effect to stacking.

  • Here are the available thread sizes for our system. Thread sizes available: 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, and 82mm.

This is a great filter system. The product looks really well-made. No cut corners here. I did have to buy some extra step-down rings just to fit all the different lenses I had, but that's got nothing to do with this set. Just a note to share with you guys. I also wish there were a separate Circular Polarizer, without having to use the ND filters (reversed) and thus having to choose one or the other. Other than than, no complaints. The filter set is great. Sturdy, and the footage looks amazing. Highly recommended.

Easy to mount, with a full range of ND filters available in a single set. Storage in the deluxe case, included, is a plus.

at first I was like what is this nonsense. but when I learned how to use it and the quality of nd filtering the bad boy gives is amazing. what is the cherry on the cake is that it has a stop on it. this means you wont wind up messing up your picture or footage when your continuously turning and you image comes out odd. it comes with a lot of adapters to use on what ever lenses you have. you can buy the ones you need separately if its not in the kit. the one thing you do have to keep in mind it does add weight to the front of the camera. just amazing I love this filter set up.

SmallRig and Tilta have offerings that competed pretty well with PolarPro's Basecamp system but they really didn't attack the VND portion in my opinion. And there are plenty of options for VND screw on filters from various brands. But there Freewell has something that combines the quality and lightweight of the VND screw on filters with the protection and robustness of a matte box. This kit is pretty awesome. The screw on portion is simple to install but the magic really happens with the attachment portion that handles your CPL and VNDs and it also provides a portion to add in drop in filters like gradient or SFX rectangular filters. The build quality is awesome and everything fits well and securely. The quality of the image, like any other VND, can get that color shift if you don't place the filters on correctly. The way to know that things are lined up right is when you place the "dust cap" on. If the filter you have is on backwards, the magnets will reject the dust cap. I think this is a great opportunity for the filters to have "front/back" labels. It's not a big thing but it can be when you're on the move. The box pouch that the kit comes in is pretty dope as well. There's step up rings, attachment rings, and of course the filters and rotating bracket, but it's all inside of the case with a built in strap that when you pull it, it raises the filters to a comfortable pick and pull position so you're not digging your filters out which can cause accidental drops, spills and/or fingerprints when reaching and grabbing. Overall, this is a nice addition to the Freewell family in their line of filters for photo and video professionals and I definitely can recommend. The price is a little up there, but also remember that average cost of other items, this well made, in its competition bracket. So it's fairly priced if I'm being honest.
