The part I actually needed/wanted from this was just the front grill, and that ended up being what I used of it. I tried using the whole unit, however noticed a couple of deficiencies:First, the backlight color of the controls is terribly off; instead of the glowing red color of the original, this has an orange yellow backlight color and is much brighter than the regular control backlight. Additionally, the blue/red colors on the center temperature control is inconsistent, as if it were sharpied on.Next, and this one is in the picture so I should have noticed, but the drivers side control is effectively upside down, making it not symmetrical with the passenger side.Lastly, the foam wasn't stuck on very well. I had to add my own double-sided tape and stretch it a bit for it to stay on properly.All that said, the actual grill, which is what I ultimately wanted, seems to be of good quality, better than others I found. It seems to be a near exact copy of the original factory item, unlike others I have found.Due to the issues I have to give this three stars, however if all you're wanting is the front grill then this would be five stars.

The vents come on time and fit perfectly. After watching a video and removing the dash trim, the vents went in very quickly. This project is about a 2 out of 10 on difficulty. Total time was 25 minutes to install.

Defective! The vent dial on the left is installed upside down. Vendor was aware of this but did not offer to replace it. If you need this item for your BMW, look elsewhere!
