A steering knuckle is used as a connection point between the tie rod and wheel. It also connect the lower and upper ball joints in a frame vehicle suspensions. With the aid of ball joints and steering joints, the knuckle allows the spindle to move up and down for suspension, rotate left and right for steering. Steering knuckles can wear over time due to rust, collision, curb strike and caliper mount area wear.
