Anti-lock Braking, ABS Systems allow the driver to maintain control of the car in an emergency braking situation. The ABS system relies on sensors to monitor the speed of the wheel and communicate with the ABS computer to ensure ideal performance. The data from the ABS sensor allows the computer to balance the speed of each wheel to prevent the brakes from locking up and avoiding dangerous skidding situations.
What does an ABS Sensor do?
The anti-lock braking system uses an ABS or wheel speed sensor to monitor the speed of the wheel, which
then sends this information to the ABS computer. In the event of an emergency stop, the ABS computer will
use this information to prevent the brakes from locking. If the wheel speeds are not equal, the computer will
regulate the anti-lock feature until the speeds are the same

The ABS sensor is usually located in each wheel hub or rotor on a four channel ABS system. The ABS sensor
may also be mounted in the rear differential in some rear wheel drive vehicles.

This sensor did not work. After instituting, I wasted so much time and energy looking for another problem and found none.I looked at other reviews again and realized the negative reviews were probably correct. I bought a set of 2 this time from Amazon and the first one worked without a hitch. Don’t waste your time and money on this sensor. You’ll most likely regret it!!

Abs cable sent sproatic speed readings thru the system. I installed it but waited till my mechanic diagnosed it. To late to return. Save your money buy OE dont waste your money on this faulty product.
