These booth do not need a long break-in period, they're good right out of the box.To be honest, I might be a little partial as this is my third pair of Frye booths...well, technically the fourth one - first pair I bought was replaced by manufacturer due to a clicking heel coming off after a month of wear. My cobbler had mentioned it was an easy fix, about $30 to repair but Frye stood behind their product and offered to replace, which made me want to buy more.Since then this is my third pair, they've all been great. There are on par with high end cowboy booths but have a zipper and better comfort. I pretty much wore one of my pair's heels and sole as it was my main shoe for over a year. I had it recently re-heeled and it's just as good. These booths are as comfortable as the others, they look great and are good enough to go out of the box.Another great Frye product!

When I first received these Fry Company boots, I absolutely fell in love with them. They looked amazing, felt great, and quickly became my go-to pair. I wore them regularly for about four months, but then I started noticing an issue with the right boot. It didn’t seem right compared to the left boot, and upon closer inspection, I realized that the seam was poorly made.Unfortunately, I had purchased these boots two years ago, so I didn’t notice the defect until much later. After about four or five months of wearing them, the right boot began to look noticeably different and started falling apart. I kept wearing them, hoping it wouldn’t get worse, but eventually, the damage was too visible, and I had to take them in for repair. The repair professional confirmed that the boot was defective from the start.Even after repairing them, I was told the fix wouldn’t last because of the underlying defect in the construction. I was deeply disappointed, especially considering the price I paid for these boots. It feels like they may have been sold at a lower price due to the defect, but this was not disclosed. I expected much better quality from Fry Company and believe they should not be selling defective products, especially at premium prices. This experience has left me with no trust in the brand, and I cannot recommend these boots to anyone. If you’re considering purchasing Fry boots, be cautious and inspect them thoroughly. Unfortunately, I learned this lesson the hard way.

A quality boot that ran a tad too big so unfortunately they have to go back. The next size down isn’t the same price that these were which is unfortunate. Hopefully a deal will come up with this size soon. Other than that they are a great looking boot and I recommend them.

I've been wearing western and Frye boots for many years, I would love to wear these ones but they're just too narrow. I normally wear size 10, I ordered a pair of 10-1/2s; I couldn't get my foot in them. I returned them and ordered a pair of 11 - 1/2s - I still can't get my foot in - and yes, the zippers are all the way down.I own a pair of size 10-1/2 black Frye harness boots that I had recently rebuilt at a cost of $186. I was hoping to have a pair of brown ones too. I guess not. Thankfully, Amazon has a good return policy.

Fantastic boots! The leather is nice, soft, and supple and the color is fantastic. These fit like a Chelsea boot which is great because you can wear skinny cut or a more tailored denim with them without having to try and stretch your jeans over the top of the boot (like you would with motorcycle boots). And I really dispise boot cut jeans. As was said in a lot of the other reviews, these do fit a little on the narrow side so if you have super wide feet, they may not fit or be on the uncomfortable side. I wear a size 10 regular width and these fit very well. They were A bit on the narrow side. However, remember your feet create moisture and heat as you wear them, so the leather should stretch out some and they should widen up a little bit. Other than that they are gorgeous boots as Frye’s usually are.And one last thing…Be careful of lame sellers peddling fake or knock off fry boots…there’s a lot of them out there. Just do a Google search on how to tell the difference between real and fake fry boots...there is some good information on the net about what to look for :)

I am a women, but, women’s shoes are always too narrow because I wear a size 10, so I tried several pairs of women’s and they were just too constricting, so I decided to try men’s. I love the distressed look, so I bought a men’s 8.5 and they’re perfect!!!! Very comfortable!!!
