I got this 1-quart ice cream container with a little shovel set as a gift for my dad, and honestly, it's been a surprisingly big hit! He's a big ice cream fan, but he always just eats it straight out of the carton (no judgment here!). I thought this would be a fun little upgrade to his ice cream experience.First off, it's a nice size. A quart is perfect for a single pint of ice cream, which is usually what he buys. It fits easily in the freezer without taking up too much space. The container itself is sturdy and seems well-made. It's not flimsy plastic, which is good.The little shovel set is adorable! My wife picked this out for me. The product description states that the ice cream bucket is dishwasher-safe. The bucket and lid held up fine, but the sticker began peeling off after only one wash. I'm not heartbroken about that, but my wife is disappointed because she wanted it to look nice for me.The bucket otherwise is great, and the silicone lid fits on nicely.The shovel spoon is smaller than ones you can normally get by themselves. It's edges are a bit rough; not necessarily sharp, but you can definitely feel it. "Dad's ice cream shovel" is printed on with brown paint, and it's starting to come off after two washes. That means the paint is likely being ingested. You REALLY don't want that. The spoon is also a little on the thin side and feels like it could bend easily. If you want a proper "Dad's ice cream shovel," order one separately with the words engraved.

This one quart container comes with a silicone lid making it easy to seal and store ice cream. This was ordered to hold ice cream while we are testing small batches of new recipes and worked great for the first test batch. The label shown on the container is a sticker and even with hand washing, I'm not sure how well it will hold up over time but that wasn't really a considerations for our intended usage. There is an included spoon shaped like a miniature shovel and has the words Dad's ice cream shovel on it. It is the size of a normal spoon and the set would be a cute gift for the Dad in your life. Just make sure to fill it with his favorite flavor before gifting.

My BF would tells a story that when he was a kid he loved ice cream a lot. His dad said he ate it too much and one day my BF’s dad let him eat it until he was sick (not sure if there was supposed to be a lesson there) but Ice cream is still a big thing in our house and we have recently got an ice cream maker to make our own and this is a great container for that. The container if fairly sturdy and the lid seals on well. This does come with a shovel/spoon it is thin and a little flimsy. The image has a nostalgic feel to it. I feel it something the older generation would appreciate. This is a great find!

Good Size For A Solid Quart Of Ice Cream. The Container Label On Front Is Crackled & A Bit Torn Upon Arrival. Has A Lid That Seals well. Appearance Is Good Except For Damaged Label. Cute Shovel/Spade Type Spoon. Ok Gift Value Would Be Better If Label Weren't Damaged. Ice Cream Sealed In Container Picks Up No Odd Tastes-That's Very Good.JOG
