Some items just need to be “OEM” to provide the same fit, function, and longevity, while others may allow an “aftermarket” substitution.Unfortunately - you never know before hand when you can get away with it - and the pricing is always much higher for the OEM parts.My application for this throttle cable is a 2008 Hustler Z mower, with a 25 hp Kawasaki engine.Well THIS part works perfectly - and at $27 - (vs $45 for “other” - or the OEM part) this is a GREAT deal from Amazon.This is an exact replacement for the Hustler throttle cable Ass’y in every sense - it exactly duplicates the item that the Excel/Hustler part number calls out - and it fit, installed, and operates perfectly.Isnt that what you really need to know for sure when you read the reviews of such items before buying?
