No instructions. Belt not attached, therefore, the assembly did not move when powered on. After reaching out to customer service to get some instructions, we took the whole bottom section apart to put the belt on, and used it one time. Guess what happened when we were slicing prime rib (which has no bones)? The blade broke. It's not a little chip - it is a break and it is now impossible to slice. How on earth this could have happened with prime rib is beyond me, but it is unusable now. Don't look up the model of "Garvee", because it is not really a Garvee. It is from China and the instructions are horrible. Not one word about how to even replace a broken belt, let alone a belt that isn't even on. I am going to have to order another one and can't ship this one back, because it is so heavy it came on a pallet. Do not believe the other review that says it is an "outstanding" unit and worth twice the money.
