This does work for the 2006 2.3L Ford Fusion too. Its exactly the same as the discontinued Ford Motorcraft part. Amazon is wrong when it says it does not fit the 2006 2.3L.

Worked well to help solve squealing belt problem in my 2006 Ford Focus ZX3. Old idler pulley was shot.Also replaced tensioner at the same time.

It did not fit my Ford Escape 2.3L XLS DOHC engine. The diameter of this is a little bigger than the original. Installing this will stress the belt and tensioner. I just need to keep it because it cost more returning it to Amazon.
