I bought the ACDelco brand tensioner for my supercharge 3800 in my '99 Riviera and within a week my belt started squealing. Luckily I was able to return that one and buy this one. Side by side the casting were identical, both made in Canada, but somehow this one worked and the ACDelco brand one did not. I have no idea why. Nothing changed in the setup except for the tensioner. The belt was the same before during and after in each case. Great deal on Amazon as usual.

Great oem part, especially for the price.

The pulleys on this use a washer between the bolt and the pulley. Normally, this is fine. However, on this product it caused the bolt holding the pulley on to loosen itself, which caused my belt to fall off and get gummed up around everything and left me stranded. If the bolt was tight, the washer would seize against the pulley which wouldn't allow it to spin freely. If it was loose enough to allow the pulley to spin, the bolt could be removed by hand. Upon switching back to the bolt from my old tensioner which was shorter and did not require a washer I have not experienced any more problems.
