I used to work for Subaru in sales and I still know some of the techs...we picked up my FIL's Subaru Forester and wanted to do the timing belt and water pump. My Subaru tech installed the parts for me and no issues with quality.

4,000 miles and everything seems fine. The pump included had two outlets whereas my OEM pump had one, but the engine was replaced several years ago and may not have used the same pump. Chose to reuse the factory pump. There is an A or B in the part number to denote which pump is included, I believe.

Over the past decade , ive installed 2 of these kits with zero issues . The belt idlers are quality parts made in Japan , the belt made here in the states . The tentioner is made by NTK , a quality part for most Asian imports . The water pump was stamped JP , not sure where it's made but it looks quality made .

Make sure you get the kit with the belt tensioner.I did not and had to wait 2 days for the tensioner to come in. Drat!
