We like this new GE Profile window air conditioner. It seems to really do a great job. It is a smaller unit that cools like a much bigger AC would. This one is just about 20 inches wide and around 13 inches tall. This newer inverter type air conditioner is so much quieter and is more energy efficient than the older AC we had. It was easy to install and replace an existing window air conditioner (on the second floor, in our man cave – we have central AC, but it doesn’t effectively cool the cave). Instructions were easy to follow, and the box included everything I needed to get going again. Nicely sized, at 8,000 btu, it does a good job of cooling and reducing the humidity, in the cave. Last, the smart features are nice to be able to control the AC from my phone and/or through Alexa.

This was a huge disappointment. We were having a two story shed worked on and decided to get this window unit to replace the one already there that was working but 8 years old. We had the crew that was working on the shed install it since it was on a second story window. They mentioned that it looked to be used, but only after they had already put it in. We hadn't opened the box to look at it since the box looked fine.It never worked and flashed an error code. We already had a dedicated outlet for it, and it seemed to be trying to work, but wouldn't kick on. Did several trouble shoot items for the error code EC07 (which means it has a blocked or malfunctioning external fan). I called Amazon who told me to call GE. GE said this is not a serviceable item so the only option is to return it.We had to have the crew come back out and switch it out with the old one. Upon further inspection, it was clearly already damaged when we received it. The coils on the back of the unit are smashed in on several areas and the front plastic trim is cracked. The crew said the trim that goes around the unit to seal it was clearly already used (yes, they should have mentioned this before installing it). It obviously was returned, and just popped into a new box.Since it was a Vine item, there is no point returning it, so into the trash it went. Not only disappointing, but a huge waste of time and energy.

We got this for our living room since our previous air conditioner in there was loud and made it difficult to hear the TV. This was easy to install - though the instructions left some important details out - like how to mount it. But we figured it out from experience. It is very quiet - as quiet as some of our Inverter portable ACs. It cools the room well. I also love that it is an inverter AC and is more energy efficient. I look forward to using this throughout our long Southern CA summer.

This is by far the quietest most efficient air conditioner I've ever had and I would hope so because it's also the most expensive one I've ever had. It's the perfect size to keep my bedroom ice cool in the summer. The WiFi is great because I can turn it on with my phone an hour before bed without having to go upstairs and do it manually. Installation was average, no easier or harder than any other window AC I've put in. Overall I'm very happy and impressed with this. It's definitely on the expensive side but a good investment in my opinion.

I have had two GE energy star air conditioners that I have been very happy with so I was confident that this version of the inverter would be an improvement over the performance of those. For the first time, the large upstairs bedroom in my Adirondack cabin is getting air conditioning! I was a little surprised that it was as heavy as it was so carrying it up the stairs and getting it positioned into the window by myself was a little difficult for me. The side panels were easy to attach and better quality than most but they’re still not adequate to provide the kind of insulation I want. I’ve added gray foam accordion looking pieces on each side and foam tape around the top and bottom to make a better seal from the outside air. This also helps cut back on any vibration to the window that might occur when the condenser kicks on. It hasn’t been hot enough yet for me to do more than turn it on for a half hour to see how it runs. It sounds very quiet, it’s quieter than the old unit in my bedroom at the apartment I used to live in. I hope that I’ll be able to keep the energy saver cycle on at night though, typically the shutting down and turning back on disrupts my sleep. It’s not only the changes in the sound but I get hot quickly during the period of time it’s shut down. This inverter unit is supposed to run the fan continuously and adjust the temperature. I’m just not certain if the sound of the condenser will be heard as loudly as a non inverter unit is. Thankfully it has a remote so I can make any necessary adjustments from bed! Or for that matter, use my phone! It’s great having the option to monitor it when I’m not at home and to know it will restart by itself if there’s a power failure👍 Using the app with my WiFi will probably be problematic due to the strength of the internet connection and it’s being used by other devices. I really wanted this for its ability to cool quietly while being energy efficient, so I’m happy with this unit so far. I’m really looking forward to seeing how differently this inverter unit performs when the hot summer weather sets in.

Significantly quieter than my old unit. I love having a thermostat so I can set it and forget it. Keeps my apartment at a steady temperature and seems to pull a lot less electricity. I was able to install it by myself without much problem. The only issue I had which isn't a deal breaker, is the sticker with the information to connect to the app was missing so I wasn't able to try that feature.
