My 2002 Pontiac Aztek was behaving like it was possessed ... eg: auto headlights wouldn't turn off on their own ... or would turn off but would come back on hours later in my driveway, without key in ignition ... key-flob would only work randomly & not always accurately ... engine would completely stop while driving ... just to name a few strange incidences!! I did a lot of research online to discover the problem was likely the Body Control Module. I found a youtube video from a backyard mechanic who changed BCM in his daughters Aztek because it was doing many of the same crazy making things. He got a BCM from Amazon at the best price he could find so highly recommended Amazon for this part! My local GM dealership in BC quoted me $300.00 HIGHER price than Amazon ... it didn't take a rocket scientist to decide which part to order!! Dealership did try to nab me on the price of installation & recalibration. so when I produced the previously given quote, the original price quote was met! The dealership service dept said when I picked up my car that they were hesitant to believe ALL the issues would be solved with this part!?!? Aztek runs like a dream, once again =)Yes, I am a woman & I will do hours of research in order to NOT be taken advantage of!!

We were having issues with the security light coming on and the Aztek going into lockdown mode. After 3 or 4 times having to disconnect that *!$# side post battery terminal to reset it, I decided to order this new BCM. I installed it myself (that is a whole other story) and was pleased that my keys and remotes still worked and it retained the mileage on the odometer. All trouble lights were out and only the airbag light was on and the radio was locked. I was able to drive it to the dealership where they used their tech 2 scanner to program it. This cleared the airbag light and unlocked the radio. Two days later, all my OBD monitors are "ready" except the EVAP, which can take a long time. I took the extra step of spraying the contacts to the BCM with DeOxit D5 cleaner. I also cleaned the C305 connectors under the floorboard behind the driver's seat with DeOxit. This connector is also a weak point in the Aztek and in my case caused a false EVAP code so you might want to clean it first before replacing the BCM. The best place to buy DeOxit locally is Guitar Center. So now my "SpazTek" is back to being a "SnazzTek".

Ordered this for my friends car when it started acting like "Christine". Doors locks, windows, radio, horn would all operate on their own, and you couldn't stop them. Did a little bit of research and found out Aztek's have a known problem with the BCM. Ordered this and had it installed for a little under $350. You do have to have it installed / programmed at a dealership due to the programming involved. But still, in the scheme or car troubles this was a minor cost to solve a major problem.

My Frigidare double-sided refrigerator was not keeping the refrigerator compartment cold enough, but the digital readout from the computer processor of the refrigerator was indicating the temperature was as set. After changing the refrigerator-side temperature sensor, the problem did not go away. After checking the circulating fan and dampener for correct operation, the only logical answer left was to replace the Main Control Module Assembly. I ordered it, and was surprised how long the USPS took to deliver it, then realized it has come all the way from the Caribbean. The new control module worked fine, just like the old one, but did not solve the problem.I'm an electrical engineer, so I began to think this may be a potential design deficiency in the refrigerator itself. Well, when the cold air comes into the refrigerator-side of the refrigerator/freezer, the air enters the top shelf area, but most of the air flowing down behind the shelf to the second shelf area, right past the temperature sensor. The sensor senses this cold air with very little delay, due to what appeared to be insufficient thermal shielding provided by the sensor cover. The sensor then notifies the control module that the air is cold enough, and shuts the air dampener opening feeding from the freezer so no more cold air enters the refrigerator side - this is way before the food gets cold enough on the refrigerator side. If the door is left shut for days, eventually the food will get cold enough, but that's not normal operation. People open and close the door several times a day. My solution was to take a large index card and white duct tape, and make a hood to cover over the sensor and existing cover. The added cardboard cover is closed on the front and three sides, leaving the bottom side open. That helped a lot, but not enough. So I made a second, but larger hood out of another large index card and white duct tape. Finally, the fix was almost there. The final step was to make sure the right half of the opening behind the top shelf was blocked so air did not flow down directly over where the temperature sensor was located. Now the temperature is well regulated to the same temperature as indicated on the temperature readout of the refrigerator's digital display. Often new appliances need a little additional design work.Even though I did not need the Control Module Assembly that I ordered, I decided to keep it anyway as insurance against when the old module might fail in the future, since prices of these kind of parts tend to increase as time passes and the appliance gets older and older. This part is fine, but the actual appliance itself needed a little extra design help in this situation.

Long story short, my automobile had all the symptoms of a BCM gone bad. Instead of paying the high price of a dealership to provide the BCM part, labor, etc. I found the part at a reasonable price right here on Amazon. I had the part shipped overnight and had arrangements made in advance to have a repair shop to replace the damaged BCM with the new BCM that I dropped off at the shop with my car. The cost of the repair shop was only for labor and it took less time then they had estimated and $90 less then they originally quoted. I had a friend that would have been able to replace it for free of labor charges except he was out of town at the time. All in all I saved money and had my vehicle back on the road in short order. The ACDelco BCM was what was needed and I have had no problems with my car since having the new BCM put in. Thank you ACDelco for an excellent product.

I bought this part via Amazon for about $175. It took a few hours, but I installed it myself, and the next day took it to a GM dealer for programming, which was another $85. Thus, my total cost was $260I had requested quotes from 3 local dealers for them to perform the whole job; parts, labor, and programming. Their prices ranged from $475 to $740, so you can see what a great savings I "earned" from a few hours of my time!Internet articles I had read about this part varied as to whether the car would function before the programming was done. (The concern was whether the car might not start and need to be towed to a dealership.) I was pleased as the radio was the only electronics that would not function until the module was programmed. The module has been in my car about a month now, and has worked perfectly. Hopefully, I will get at least another 75,000 miles on this one.The seller shipped the part within a day or two after my order, and provided tracking info.
