Late review..Ordered these in October cause all of the five stars. I was excited to use them, but didn’t fit in my 2020 Crosstrek Limited. I’m still on the hunt for good quality that will actually fit.

I have purchased other brands of this product and have been disappointed by the difficulty of installing, as well as, lack of adequate adhesion. These side window rain guards however, have been great. They were easy to install and look really nice. They have been on for only a few months but, I have no adhesion issues so far. If you do purchase a set, make sure to follow the detailed installation instructions so that you don't have to take off and reapply again--this would greatly effect the adhesion.

This was very well packaged upon arrival. The install was easy by using online Youtube videos, the instructions were not as easy to follow. It's a high grade product, and is well made. It did take some getting used to having the shade install when driving because it's something there. It's great for cracking your window open even during inclement weather so you don't get rain or snow in your face. The shade is great for sitting in traffic for long time and provides good partial trade. Mainly, it's best for those who like to drive with the window partially open. Aesthetically, it adds to the look of the car and makes it look nicer. The price was a bit high, but it was not bad for OEM grade.

I was very pleased to see that this was a genuine Subaru part and not a knock off. I bought these for my 2016 Crosstrek and they went on like a breeze, both sides in less than 10 minutes. Perfect fit, high quality, great finished look.

I love my new window deflectors. They were incredibly easy to install. I love the symmetrical design from front to back window. You can lower the window quite a bit before becoming lower than deflector. I have had them on for about four months now and absolutely no issues. I also do not notice increased noise as others have commented.

Just installed these yesterday. Instructions were not that easy to follow, however after watching the you tube video, things made sense. Installation required taking down the window seals to snap in window clips to hold the visors in place as you carefully remove the plastic tape protector and press it on. First one took time but the other three got easier. Metal clips snapped on to plastic posts on the inside of the visors and the posts were not that thick and so snapped easy when you tried to clip the visors to the door. Luckily, the primary purpose of the clips were to hold the visor in place while pressing down on the adhesive tape. Not the easiest visors to install, but it mostly took time to do correctly. Took me a little over an hour, but the local Subaru dealer was going to charge $200 to install it and so I guess it was worth my time and effort. In the end, it looked nice. Hopefully it will work (haven't tried it yet because it is still 40 degrees outside in the day time), and hopefully the adhesive will keep it in place for a few years.

Perfect! Fit was great, easy to install. I highly recommend watching a YouTube video or two to know what to expect. It took me maybe 20 minutes and I took my time. Expect a little more wind noise from now on though, even with windows up. It took me about a day to get used to seeing them in my peripheral vision too but now I don't notice it at all. They look great and function better than I expected, they overhand a little further than the vents I've had on previous cars which is good because it allows the window to be down further before you can and drips in.

The XV Side Window Drip Guards are great. I have these on my 2001 Subaru Sambar minitruck and found them to be very functional for keeping the rain out with the windows cracked open, so I thought they would be nice to have on the wife's new XV.The Guards arrived quickly and in good condition. The Guards are a bit of a challenge to install, requiring careful reading of the instructions and keeping track of numerous small parts. A flat, clean area with a clean bed sheet or blanket on the surface is necessary to work on the individual Guards without causing scratches to the polycarbonate before installation. Hands must be very clean. Total installation took about 45 minutes.Special note: the molding that needs be pulled down out of the tops of the door frames in order to install the mounting clips, is pretty hard to grasp. One could damage the molding with the force required for removal, if that force is applied to a single point on the molding. One could also damage the paint job poking with a screw driver. I had the idea to try using a standing seam, metal roofing, hand crimping tool to grasp the molding. This allowed a firm grip on four inches at once, eliminating the pressure on a single point, which might tear the molding. The technique worked like a charm. Fear not, the molding goes back in much easier than it comes out.Saved a lot of money purchasing and installing myself. Dealer pricing was 20% higher, plus shop rate for installation. Do they think I won't look around? I don't begrudge the labor, but I don't like being gouged on mark-ups. It lowers my esteem for my dealer. The Guards add a certain lowered sort of appearance to the XV. There is no added wind noise. They will block some solar input which will be nice on a hot day. They might affect the slipstream a bit. We can now leave the windows cracked open on rainy spring, summer and fall days. I imagine these Guards would be a smoker's dream come true, though I don't recommend picking up the habit.
