Just buy this first and be done with leaks over the FP brand. I purchased the other big name (FP) and torqued to spec and after a yr and removing twice to see what went wrong causing the leak I just went ahead and ordered the genuine and got the leak fixed. Some things you just gotta go factory brand and not worry about doing double work. Don't cheap out...

These were purchased for an 2001 LS1 engine. I replaced the oem valve covers with a pair of Granatelli Motorsports valve covers. The gaskets supplied with the new covers were too short and too thin to stay in the recessed lip. These gaskets were exactly what was needed to complete the job. They fit perfectly and stayed in the groove so the covers could be installed easily. No leaks. I would buy these again if needed.
