Our 10 year old went from complete newbie to playing "Hot Cross Buns" in just two weeks with this trumpet! The valves move smoothly right out of the box (just add the included oil). We paired it with free YouTube tutorials instead of expensive lessons, and he's already entertaining (or torturing jk) the grandparents with his first complete song. The case is surprisingly sturdy for something at this price point. Perfect starter instrument if you're not sure your kid will stick with it and a definite recommend from me.

(Gold)Okay, so I played trumpet in HS for about 2 weeks. I am not a trumpeter by any stretch of the imagination, but I am an accomplished musician. I was impressed with this trumpet (kit) and thought it a good value for the price.The instrument is solidly built. It's heavy enough to feel substantial, and not chintsy. The valves move smoothly (but probably should be oiled with the included oil). It's set up okay for the size of my hands. It was in tune (as far as I could tell) when it arrived. It comes with a variety of accessories. The gloves are definitely child sized, tho.I was able to pay some notes (and I didn't sound too much like a distressed calf). I don't have much of a lip (apologies), but I could tell that the sound was good. It had a pleasant tone, bright but not tinny. The dynamic range was acceptable.The case is tough fabric on the outside with hard plastic underneath and includes both a shoulder strap and a hand carry handle both on the end and on the side with feet opposite both. The zipper is plastic, but it's reasonable quality, with a metal slide and pulls. The case has molded foam covered in velvet on the inside. There's a protective bag for the trumpet. All of the accessories in the listing were present. It's not too heavy or bulky.All in all, this is a lovely student-grade instrument, and a great starting point for learning to play trumpet.

Got this for my daughter and it works great. The slides and buttons actuate smoothly, and it comes with a small bottle of oil for when you need to re-apply. Mine has a couple of super small scuffs to the finish, but they're nothing that will be noticeable from any amount of distance.

All three valves work well, and it has a pretty decent sound. The black finish is a nice touch, time will tell how well it lasts.The kit comes with white gloves, valve oil, cleaning brushes, a decent mouthpiece, and backpack straps for the case.

We purchased the KAYATA Gold Copper Trumpet with Phosphor Copper Leadpipe for my 8-year-old son, who has displayed a strong interest in music. The quality is exceptional, and it is remarkably well made. The shiny color exceeds our expectations, and it functions flawlessly. The included case is a convenient addition for storage. My son is about to begin professional classes, and this trumpet will be instrumental in his progress. This is undeniably an excellent choice, and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend it!

Considering trumpets can vary in cost and be quite expensive, it's nice to have a set that includes everything you need at a manageable cost. The one con is that the gloves included are really small and meant to fit a smaller child.The sound of this trumpet is pretty good. It's not tinny as some of the other trumpets on the bottom end. After lubricating the valves and getting in tune, the valves are smooth, the mouthpiece is ok.The carrying case is phenomenal at the price. I didn't expect to get something at this quality for this cheap. This trumpet and case should last for years.
