I had a mark 1 trout net handed down by my grandfather and I love the concept, works awesome when I’m out on my kayak for a quick retrieval of whatever I’m catching. However- the cloth net always gave me trouble with spinner baits with multiple barbs, it gets caught and takes me about 4-5 minutes each catch to untangle everything.The new rubbery material on this net is much more forgiving and the net itself is much light even though it’s larger. The lanyard that comes with it also seems pretty high quality. I’m going to be taking it out tomorrow and attempt to catch brook and tiger trout, if I catch any I will update this review with pictures. Testing in house seems promising so fingers crossed.

We do catch and release. This net has 3 great advantages1...the silicone net is easy on the fish, it does not harm the protective slime of the fish2. fish does not become tangled up in the net.3. The fish cannot see the net, and caster to net.Traditional string nets, harms the fish, their fins, and gills get stuck in the net and many times the fish has to be untangled from the net.I’ve used this type for years and will never use anything else. Bought this for grandson. It will bring him a lifetime of memories on the water.Price is better than going in store. And hard to find in sporting goods stores here in Alaska as they are first to go.

Très bon épisode juste un problème c'est que les mousquetons sont un peu compliqué à fixer sinon je vous le recommande elle est très résistante ne blesse pas les poissons et elle est très légère

la fonctionnement d’attache du filet est très mal faite 1 aprem midi de pêche et il commencer déjà à se déficeler, l’aimante aimante quasi rien une petite bosse et elle tombe, 1 étoile qui veut dire ZERO

I like its many chords and elastic but little on the heavy side. However I love the magnetics, absolutely fantastic. I wish the netting was little deeper but overall I'm happy and eager to put it to test in real life.

I put the magnet on the first time I tried to use that feature and after I got my first fish the magnet was already gone.

it's not ultra light but it's better than the tiny mesh nylon net which would snag the hooks netting fish for release.. btw I started using barbless hooks regardless.. I think it's a good deal.. I didn't het a magnet hook thingy .. i just use the old one i had.. still think it's a great upgrade.. I know when it's time to upgrade and this definitely is an upgrade from experience

It is an amazing net for trout. I have landed some beasts thanks to this thing. The magnetic clip comes in really handy. I have absolutely no complaints. Happy fishing!

Nice net. Description says "Aluminum Alloy Frame" however the frame is made out of wood as the picture shows it to be, so I wasn't surprised. It is a really nice net and very light. I gave it 5 stars because I am happy with it as is. The magnet lanyard works really well and the magnets are very strong, no problem hooking it and releasing it behind your back.
