Compatible BUT... I went through an entire spool after just two rounds of trimming a very modest size yard with minimum trim areas. There isn't much line on each spool and you will go through them quickly. As others have noted, spool is loosely wound and must be re-adjusted often. If you have a lot of trimming, I'd expect three spools might last 6 weeks at the most.
