Gloves fit fine for a 7 year old girl (Size 8-12). I bought them for her Halloween costume as Audrey Hepburn, so I was not buying them with any idea that they would last a long time or that they would look absolutely amazing. She wore them 3 times for different Halloween events. After wearing them to school, I noticed that they were "tearing" or "balling up" at the fingers and looking worn. I had her take the gloves off when she was with me to eat or open candy, etc., but she probably did not do this herself. If the gloves were treated like they should, then they should be fine for occasional costume wear.

My Daughter wore these for an awards ceremony and was the belle of the ball - it really made her gown regal. They fit great and stood up to the peril that a 10 year-old can bring on. They were resistant to staining (we got black) and washed up nicely (although we hung them to dry to avoid damaging them in the dryer). Very good purchase for the price.
