It does work and it makes things into a fairly fine powder. I ground up some 'Fines Herbes'. I'm not sure I would feel safe physically ingesting things ground with this though.. it's constantly shedding aluminum and other metal flakes. Most of which are falling out from inside the spring mechanism.. I know because I pulled it apart to see if I was creating them, there was lots of machining debris in the spring assembly that falls out gradually, and probably makes more over time. Maybe acceptable if smoking, but not for kitchen spices!

I think when they say pepper grinder pepper is a euphemism for something else. When I saw this "pepper grinder" from the Sufeasdf Store on Amazon Vine, it piqued my curiosity, because I love gadgets and odd things, so it was like ordering a puzzle, and the task was figuring out exactly what it was for. Many weird things show up on Amazon, some where they are pretty direct about describing it, and others where they are pretty obtuse. In battery powered tools, for example, the battery used in the clone of a drill may be interchangeable with a name brand battery, such as Dewalt or Makita, and some will say outright what that is, others will totally avoid saying what batteries are compatible. So this "pepper grinder" is very different from the average kitchen pepper grinder, and I wanted to know why. First, it grinds the results into a quite small bottle, instead of grinding it over your plate or pot of food. Very unusual, Second, instead of metal or ceramic burrs, the grinding mechanism itself is a driver plate that breaks up and forces the media through a screen. Also very unusual. Then in the product description it says: "Perfect for grinding your coarse dried kitchen spice (not pill or chunky stuff) into a fine shape, your spice must be in coarse shape and be dry, not suitable for seed, pill or chunky pieces." This absolutely does not describe peppercorns, which are actually seeds that come from the dried fruit of the pepper plant. So to call this item a pepper grinder is a cover for something else, but what? Well, if it was something people openly used everywhere there would be no need for deception, so it must be contraband, in at least some places.Long story short, I think it's for something which I don't use, but others I know do, legally as "medicine" here in northern California. Di I need to be cagy and not say outright what I think it's for? Maybe so. It would have made more sense if the product description had said tobacco grinder. Or maybe snuff grinder. I don't know what they do with the resulting powder output, but it's not for sprinkling on your spaghetti. But you could, I guess.

As grinders go, this is pretty good, and unlick other "flower" grinders, not having to mess with fine mesh filters, mini brooms, and having the kie... erm "dust" and ground material go directly into a container, is choice. My only complaint is finding replacements bottles. That's a separate issue, and not related to this product, I just wish they would provide info on where to get replacements'.Very happy with it

i ordered this SUFEASDF peppergrinder thinking that since it was listed as an “aluminum alloy pepper grinder” that it would be a good replacement for my old-fashioned wooden two-handed peppergrinder. but it was not. in fact i would dissuade anyone considering ordering this for grinding peppercorns.this “grinder” consists of a flat surface with raised rib-sections which press against a super-fine screen. most peppermills have two grinding surfaces to press against each other to grind peppercorns. but this pepper grinder does not. and the peppercorns which i tried to grind simply went round-and-round and did not get ground down at all.so instead i followed up trialing with some garlic powder that had become “gummy” due to the high humidity where i live. again - no joy. i had to scrape the gummy garlic “powder” off the screen after seeing that effort also fail. so then i tried dried sweet italian basil flakes and the grinder worked well to turn the basil flakes into a powder-like dust. so - despite my confusion as to why anyone would want to turn basil flakes into basil dust - i finally found something this “peppergrinder” could actually do.this SUFEASDF peppegrinder is a total fail as a peppergrinder. maybe instead of as a peppermill this could be marketed as an exercise device for people that like to be frustrated

But this then buy a coffee cup warmer and a small glass ceramic type plate some prop money and maybe try out some plastic razor blades to see more ways to enjoy Pepsi/Coke products. Only complaint is it doesn't get low enough to get the last flakes. But toss in a G and hit the hot plate as needed

This pepper grinder seems really solid and does what it says, grinds pepper corns really fine. However, as another review says, you definitely need some grease on the threads and other moving mechanisms because it is really hard to turn. I held off because I did not have any food grade grease. It also is a very slow process. It took 20ish turns to get the pepper amount in the photo. I am not sure if I would want to do this for regular spices. It comes with three tubes, but only 2 caps thinking the third tube would stay with the grinder, but then you can’t store it, which seems like an oversight.
