When i bought this, i had no idea how much stress would be put on it. I know own a few heavy duty stands and laugh at the fact that this thing even exists! The all plastic construction just begs for your premium equipment to be mounted to it can drop it. Its lightweight but not very trustworthy and I wouldnt trust more than a feather to be extended from a boom arm mounted to this.

I saw a lot of negative reviews and saw that it was frequently returned, so I was hesitant to buy it. But it is exactly what I needed. It's sturdy and the perfect size. I am very happy with this purchase.

Yes, this is all-plastic. But the molding is good and the clamps can be tightened to provide and excellent grip.These aren’t suitable for rough, daily handling, but for a hobbyist like me, they’ll do just fine for a while.Good value, in my opinion.Jerry

So many of the light stands and boom arms out there come with HORRID clamps that simply don't work at all - they slip on the boom arm, they slip on the light stand, they wiggle, they're not stable or reliable.This style of clamp is what SHOULD come with every boom arm / light stand combo. Don't mess around with the other garbage. Get this and be happy!
