the instructions are terrible. i am still in page 4 and cannot figure out what needs to be done

I am new to bargello quilts and "quilt as you go" techniques and am finding this pattern to be very clear and, as long as I am paying attention, easy to follow.2 notes: when you lay the first piece on the background to start construction, lay it right side up and stitch. It wasn't clear to me since I have never done this before.Second note: As you build the tree, remove the excess pieces of the background BEFORE you stitch the row. I had a long tail that I somehow caught up on the back side of the quilt and had to rip it out. Trimming as you go keeps this from happening.Beautiful and really well explained. Just be careful on your cutting and seam allowances and it comes out beautiful! Will try to post a photo when I finish

This pattern makes a stunning Christmas tree wall hanging in two different sizes. I think the 24"x25" size is perfect for gift giving. If you just take your time and follow the instructions step-by-step, it shouldn't be a problem to put together easily. There are two star options for the top of the tree as well. I would say this pattern is for an intermediate sewer.
