Grover Rotomatic 106C locking guitar tuning machine heads make quick work of tuning. With a gear ratio of 18:1, these locking tuners give you all the benefits of standard Rotomatics - plus the positive locking of Grover's internal cam post. Insert your string through the string hole, pull to tension by hand, and start to tune. As you begin tuning, only the locking cam in the string post turns. The string post begins to turn once the string is locked. In under one string post revolution, you'll be in tune. And you'll stay in tune, with Grover's Rotomatic 106C locking guitar tuning machines. Grover: exceptional quality and lifetime warranty Grover has been keeping the world's finest stringed instruments in tune for over a century. Grover started out in the late 1800's producing banjo and guitar tuning machine heads. Eventually the company expanded into making tuners for mandolin, dulcimer, ukulele, violin,

Easiest to restring of any brands or models I've owned. Finish is perfect. Functionality is very smooth. Excellent tuning stability. Perfect fit for Epiphone Les Paul.

These feel amazing, and are the perfect size for my LP guitar application. The cam style locking mechanism is secure as well as quicker than a thumbscrew style mechanism making tense string change moments on stage fast and easy. That said, I still find the feel of these to be the most remarkable attribute they have. I will get these for other guitars in the future.

These work great but holy mother of God.... the stems stick up way too high. Looking down the neck of the guitar I feel like I am playing a rake. There's plenty of manufacturers that make great locking tuners that don't make the head of the guitar look like a missile launcher.

Installed quick and easy (drop-in) on my Gretsch Streamliner G2627T. The tuning was pretty stable with the stock tuners, but these work a bit better and feel a whole lot more luxurious. The shafts are a little longer than stock, sticking out from the peg head a little farther. This results in two things: 1) They look a little odd at first, and 2) they reduce the string's break angle over the nut, reducing friction and binding within the string slots. I don't know whether this lengthening is by design or is a result of changes needed to make the auto-locking work. Either way, they give my Bigsby a better chance of returning to pitch. As far as restringing with these tuners, look at the pictures on the included hang tag. The string holes are offset from center. Put the short side of the offset at the top, push the string through from the center of the headstock headed to the outside, pull through until only a small amount of slack remains, then tune and stretch your strings. Simple, quick and stable.Oh, one last step: Enjoy!

Purchased these to replace a g-force auto tuner (total gimmick never buy one) on my Gibson SG Standard and rhey where easy to install as these are the tuners Gibson are installing on their guitars, plus the locking tuner is a bonus.

Easy to install genuine Grover locking tuners. Turn the top of the tuner and wait for the click. Insert the string and tune away. Once your new strings are stretched out, they have rock solid performance. If your guitar previously had full size Grovers, they fit like a glove and the screw holes line up with no mods.10 minute install job.The only knock against them is the playing is extremely thin and prone to flake off. So your new tuners tend to have some light relic look after a typical install. But a guitar is meant to be used like a tool and played rather than sit in a case collecting dust.

A truly impressive, quality product! These tuners took my '05 Gibson Les Paul Jr to a whole new level. Install was easy and string replacement is now a breeze. They've given my guitar a new substantial feel. And they stay in tune! Do yourself a favor and put these on your axe - it deserves them!
