The stock screws did not fit into the product. Seems like a very dumb oversight. Other than that it works fine.

I have yet to install this on my guitar but quality on this stabilizer looks as good as the name brand version for a cheaper price. However, please note that it comes with no instructions (only comes with what you see in my pic). These are quite fiddly to install properly so make sure and look up a video with instructions before attempting installation.

Just in case you're looking at this and wondering how it might work... basically when you have a floating tremolo, you can push down and lower the pitch or pull up to raise the pitch. When the guitar is tuned, the strings and the springs are balanced -- the tension pulling on both sides are just right for the strings to be at the particular pitched/notes. So when you tune down (i.e. drop-D), the strings have less tension so the springs are able to pull more than before and the bottom tremolo block gets pulled (toward the headstock inside the cavity). Now there's a new equilibrium and that's why all the strings have to be tuned again. And if you play in cover bands like me that do songs in standard tuning and drop-D then it's a bit of a nightmare because instead of changing tuning in 1 string, you're kind of starting over on all 6 and your band starts staring at you like what the hell is taking so long. What this little thing does is push against the block when it the spring tries to pull it toward them and stop it at a certain position. But at the same time the other side of the block is still free to move so you can still pitch bend down. Since this has a string in it also you can adjust the feel so you can still do a little bit of bend up (I.e. allowing for proper vibrato technique).I installed it in a PRS CE24. I have 3 springs which are set up straight on the. 3, and 5. I don't use my tremolo much so I prefer it to just block (almost no give). It works as advertised. I want to be able to "undo" it (without uninstalling) if I want the tremolo to be free to go either direction again so when I set it up I rolled the adjusters (gold colored bolts) to almost the most extreme position with the least amount of give -- I really want it to stay in position when I tune down! And it works! Now I can drop-D quickly almost like a fixed bridge. Then only thing though (not enough of a negative that I wouldn't give this 5 stars) is that because the piece touching the block is also metal, when you play the guitar unplugged you might notice some noise of them hitting each other. I find this most noticeable when bending (Bend a string/note up, string tension increases, bridge gets pulled away, let go of bend and the beside goes back to previous position hitting the stopper). Again, I have it set at a rather extreme position to make drop -D tuning go as quickly as possible -- I don't want to have to retune the A or D strings. This seems to work well.

I was beginning to wonder if I could ever have one of my guitars with floating tremolos on them stay in tune while still enjoying the feature of having the floating tremolo in the first place. For all of the money I invest in my guitars (upgrades and etc... which is quite a bit) this is a VERY inexpensive part which has completely solved the big tuning instability issue that I've been dealing with for a couple of years now! I sure wish I had found these a lot sooner, but I'm glad to have them now! Now I can bend my notes to extremes both down and up in pitch and the guitar stays PERFECTLY tuned. I can't help but smile every time I grab a hold of the guitar use the trem, and see that it's still in tune. This thing has worked like magic, and so inexpensive, who knew? I've already ordered three more for my other Floyd Rose equipped guitars! Thank you Amazon, and thanks to the manufacturer of this quality part. I'm finally enjoying my guitar the way I thought I would in the first place but never could... amazing!
