Guitar Truss Rod Cover

Used this to further customize a Rogue VB100 violin bass — they are good and cheap instruments, but the white pearloid pickguard, control plate, and truss rod cover are HIDEOUS. This truss rod cover, along with removing the pickguard, made a huge difference. I did have to drill one new hole into the headstock, but of course for these screws it was tiny and barely worth mentioning. But I absolutely would have a drill on hand with a tiny bit to drill a pilot hole to avoid any damage to the headstock (which may happen if you try to force the screw in without a pilot hole). The color of the pattern is not quite silver, it's a bit warmer of a metallic color than that, I think it should mesh well with any color of hardware from silver to gold. Great product. Also have one installed on a semi-hollow jazz guitar, and it looks great on that as well.

Expecting a cheap plastic part, but it was metal. Way better than the Epi truss rod cover made out of cheap plastic. And fits well with a cool design. (Epi LP 100)

It doesn't fit my epiphone les paul special to well, I could put the two bottom screws in but the top didn't one didn't line up, still a cool cover

I recently bought a junked ibanez bass and decided to restore it. Its an early model that plays and feels great! It was missing the truss rod cover and decided to put this one on. I wanted to make it unique. I had to drill some holes and make some modifications but looks great! Really happy how my bass is different than most. Originally bought the bass for $30 from a yard sale. Really happy how it came out.

This truss rod cover is a perfect fit on my Inspired by Gibson Epiphone J-200 Jumbo with absolutely no modification required. Easy installation without removing the strings but I used the original screws which are gold and not like the included three black screws. Excellent quality as it is fabricated with metal, not like the original truss rod cover it replaced which is plastic like most, if not all acoustic guitars. It even matched perfectly with my pick guard. Highly recommended!

Pros: Good looks, solid.Cons: pre drilled holes do not line up, only able to use 2 bottom screws.Besides not fitting my Epiphone SG properly it did the job in covering an empty space. It was repaired once and we didn't notice the sg truss rod cover was missing. I ordered this as a temporary replacement and I like it better. Even if it's being held on by 2 screws, it's flush and doesn't vibrate.
