Key works but finger prints and code randomly stop working which is a huge problem. It says you can mute the very loud beeping but it goes off every time I push a button.

My initial thoughts on this gun safe was that wow it sure feels sturdy! Maybe overly so? After all this safe is not designed to be mounted down solid to keep someone from stealing it. It is basically to keep people in your household, specifically kids, from getting to your gun and at the same time for you to be able to get to your gun quickly. Well, as sturdy as it was, it still did the job well.My main concern on buying this gun safe was how quick the response time was using the fingerprint scanner and to my delight, it was plenty fast! I also appreciate the option for both a sound mode and silent mode. The light inside the safe is a nice touch except I would have rather it be a red light instead of blue to avoid losing my night vision. When the gun carrier slides open, it does block most of the light and the blue light is not overly bright. I wish the slide was more quiet as it slide open, after all what use is the silent mode when the slide made more noise than the beeps of the electronics would have made.I read many reviews complaining that the user manual was not well written. Specifically as to where the setting button was located. Apparently, the folks at Maezoe read the reviews and I got a copy of an updated pdf version of the manual via email. That is good. The unit came with 2 thumb screw that prevents removal of the unit when mounted to the wall. The manual did not specify that one was installed and one was not. I realized why when I started to install the 2nd thumb screw and realize it was almost impossible to install that 2nd thumbscrew which was located inside the case in the very back. Oh well, I wasn't going mount the safe anyway!

I like everything about this product except the set-up instructions. After several failed attempts at setting up the push button code, we finally googled the product, found the company website, and found instructions not included in the owner’s manaul. Once we discovered this critical, but easy step, we had it set-up in less than 5 minutes.

Was difficult to program. The instructions were not clear on programming. Stumbled upon the button to program it to my finger. Also bolting it to the inside of my cabinet was dam near impossible. Am not able to get the last screw in place to keep it mounted.
