I wasn't sure whether to get the led model or the one with no screen, so i got both to compare them. They are identical other than the little screen. Both seem well made, and so far function as intended. The one with the screen was easier to program (fingerprints and pin) because it tells you what to do and when. However, i was still able to program the one without a screen by using the included booklet. It took a few extra tries to get it right because you don't get any feedback on what you did wrong, but no big deal. The one with a screen has a small defect, the battery tray cover doesn't fit correctly. It won't clip in flush against the wall of the unit. See pics. I could probably fix this with a piece of sandpaper, as it can't be more than a millimeter of difference. The one with no screen didn't have this issue, so probably just a random defect. However, the one with no screen has a different defect, the interior blue light is very dim. In the pics, this light is on in both safes, but is only visible on the one with the screen. Doesn't appear to be something that is replaceable either. My only other concern is that both units go into a sleep mode after a few seconds, and you do have to double tap your fingerprint If you're using that method (once to wake it, once to recognize the fingerprint), or tap a button to wake it up first and then enter your PIN to unlock it. Oh, and I also tested with non-registered fingerprints and didnt get either unit to open, so no issue there. As a whole, not bad at all for the price. A couple little things that probably wouldn't be an issue in a higher price unit, but nothing that's a deal breaker. At this price point, I'm absolutely happy with both units. It would come down to personal preference on whoch is better. Cheers!

Love the interior light. Perfect size for one gun, extra clip and box of shells. Sturdy and doesn't slide around. Opens quickly and closes with a good latching noise. I feel it is safe enough to leave in the open, all guns in a house should be locked imo this makes it very quick and easy to retrieve

Keep in mind there are different price tiers for these gun safes, and you usually get what you pay for. At this price point, the VIFOOKMIT safe is really nice. My previous experience with gun safes have only been with key-only versions. This is my first foray into biometric or electronic safes.The safe is heavy steel, the lid is fairly thick, and latches well. The wake-up feature of the key pad is a bit on the slow side, as it cycles through all the buttons before you can enter your code. The lid opens open quick and smooth. Watch YouTube videos on how to set this up, as the manual I received is still pointing to the wrong area in the photo. If you have children in the home, it beats keeping your "locked & loaded" wireless home defense system in an unlocked drawer.

I just received it today. Also, it was on sale and now its listed at full price.I bought for myself. The description made a point of saying this was a great gift for husband, father, son. I'm a lady lol.Anyway, it seems sturdy enough and has quite a bit of room. I don't really care about the biometric or the code. I just need a secure place to put my guns, ammo and extra clips for when my personal aid comes 1x per week. Otherwise, they stay close to hand. Victim of stalking and robbery. I'll update if it fails or is doing straight once the 30 days are up.
