Im pleased with my purchase. Alot of room for my 3 guinea pigs, id get the playpen attachment for this. The smell of the wood & paint smelt wonderful to me. Not strong like some said, but a fragrance-natural type of smell. I made the bottom their cozy & fun & top is food area. I did cut a square of the wire to fit the water bottle in it. My piggies learnt the ramp as soon as they realized food was at the top. Cons: its dark so i open top & set a lamp by, there no screen to put things that are supposed to hang (hammocks, toys, etc), the latches arent as good as i thought (my 2 year old opened it). Easy fixes, great price, real wood, husband put together easy with no problems (as long as pieces are organized & youve browsed through instructions & double check before screwing & take it nice & slow), easy to clean & easy to access animals.

Pros: cute hutch, real wood, easy to assemble (with a drill), size is decent for one large rabbit or maybe two small critters. Doors open in different directions for access. Decent casters/wheels and hardware.Cons: the large tray on the bottom can be pushed all the way through because there is nothing on or in the back to stop it. Overall the trays are wonky - slightly warped and you have to jiggle and shimmy them in and out to fit right. The hard plastic tray liners are glued down to the wood trays. This seems pretty stupid to me because I want to be able to spray the liners out to deep clean periodically but I can’t do that without getting the wood wet. The metal hay holder is meant to be screwed into the side of the hutch but I think it would be better to have the option to hang it somewhere so the holder can be removed and cleaned. Some of the doors seem wonky and don’t fit exactly right. With daily use, I assume the doors are going to need tightening or hardware replacements.Overall I am happy with this hutch but the quality is on the low side for the price, especially when you factor in daily use, animal waste, liquid, and an animal constantly chewing. The flimsy dividers that fit inside of the hutch will most likely be eaten within the first month. I am hoping this hutch will last, but I cannot say for certain that it will still be suitable for the longevity of a rabbit’s lifespan.

So, I do realize it says rabbit, however, we are not using it for rabbits, we are using it for a classier looking night time go to for our ferrets. This layout is way better than any ferret cage I saw! Trust me, I have only been looking DAILY ALL DAY, for a month now! Finally settled on this! One, the layout is cooler with the two ramps, I can hide their stinky litter box I. The upper closed off room so it contains the smell a little better, and also ferrets poop and litter box is just a nasty eye sore and all their cages seem to be wide open wire ALL THE TIME, and they like to go I. Corners and that isn’t cool with an all wire cage. Yes, I am aware I can get fitted shields to prevent fences landing on my floor constantly when they decide to be a$$holes and use their litter box as a bed instead of a bathroom! Ugh! But the prices on those are ridiculous and again, doesn’t stop us from smelling and seeing it, so this was perfect. Now, with that said the space is great and enough in length without being too big and taking up a whole Room! And it looks nice (besides the hideous paint job they did. Consider repainting it like I did) with that said, this is MOT WATERPROOF by any means if you take it outside and it rains, it will in fact fall apart! If it. Know how or why they list it as a waterproof paint because it isn’t waterproof! Maybe because they did the thinnest coat possible Idk. So, we repainted it and then we did seal it with a water proof sealer because again, if the ferrets poop on wall, it will not be cool trying to scrub out soaked in feces. So PLEASE SEALCOAT IT, if it’s going to be outside. I seal coat regardless because small animals do get things wet sometimes, and you don’t want smells soaking into the wood. It also helps strengthen the wood. Just throwing it out there. Also, this wood is thinner and cheaper so BE CAREFUL when drilling in your screws and make sure they are STRAIGHT or it will in fact crack the wood. Don't drill too much either sometimes just enough os better! Also, yes, it says rabbit hutch, however. If you are a long time rabbit and Guiana pig owner, you will know that they BOTH chew wood to trim their teeth! So, why they made a whole a$$ home made particularly for a RABBIT out of wood, MAKES NOW SENSE TO ME! Prepare for it to be ruined rather fast. Thats just common Knowledge. I mean sir where put metal here and there, however, Any little spot that doesn’t have metal will be chewed and destroyed! So again, for those animals and animals like them, this is a waste for you just saying. But other than that this was THE EASIEST PROJECT me and my hubby put together without even fighting lol! And we had it done in 42 min. So, we had seen some reviews that said it took hours? Like how! I could put this together with our the instructions by just matching up the holes! So that’s a big win! And it’s so much cuter than a typical cage. So, this is my review! Besides the idk 5 hours I put into sealing it and repainting it I think this was a win. I mean hell, you can’t even buy half the supplies to build a cage like this for the 148.00 I paid for the cage and it minimizes the planning and a lot of work and time! So, I say get this if you have a pet that won’t destroy it for its def worth it. Dont blame the company for your rabbit chewing it when you should’ve known rabbits chew wood! Idk what else to say for that! But be prepared to fix the paint job because it is HORRIBLE! My 7 yr old can paint better! lol. But anyways anyone who read this hope this helps you out! Good luck!

Although it looks nice, that’s the only thing nice about it. There is no where to hang the water unless it’s on the slants or bottom side rather than where the feed goes. Parts don’t come together. My husband and I are are very inclined when it comes to putting things together. Let’s just say we had extra parts, thank goodness we have a drill because it does not include tools, and most products come with pre drilled holes. This, however, makes you guess quite a bit, even for those who are most definitely use to putting things together. I don’t believe, in my opinion & experience, this is worth the price. Even after spending the money we did on this we are thinking of finding something different. Not worth the price. For people who read reviews & think a person is nagging, please know I am also one of those. However my husband & I both agreed this product is crap. Had we known exactly how crappy, we would’ve never unpacked & put together. Now we are out the money & looking for something else.
