Cool concept and I appreciated being able to fold it up. Squeezing thus flimsy cup and spilling hot water on my hands.. what an adventure. Good for cold water when it's a plenty.. or something thick like soup if you fill it partially. Not a very realistic product.

These seemed like a good option for small, compact backpacking bowls. They don't collapse very easily and they don't want to stay collapsed at all. You can rubber band them closed possibly, but they need to be held tight to really squish down. I could live with this, however, upon trying multiple hot meals in them, I was always left with a rubbery taste in my food. Tried with coffee, hot chocolate, mac and cheese, and oatmeal. Even after extensively letting hot water sit in them and running through the dishwasher, the taste still stayed. This is obviously a major negative for something used primarily for food. I could've probably lived with the squish design, as they do hold a decent bit of food/drink. However, the rubber taste is unbearable. Missed my return deadline too :(

Second set of these I have purchased, just for more options in the woods. Light, easy to clean and very durable. The small one fits inside my snow peak 700ml mug. The large one stretches over the top like a lid and holds my cook kit together. Perfect for backpacking trips where size and weight are a factor.https://vimeo.com/112304842

My mom got me a set of squishy bowl/cup for Christmas four years ago. I remember thinking they were silly.I was wrong. My original set has been used dozens of times for camping, backpacking, hunting, search and rescue, etc.I love them. Particularly for mixing up oatmeal in the mornings.Pros:1. Pack-ability - you can cram a squishy bowl into any tiny space in your pack.2. Easy to clean3. Doesn't burn4. Flip it inside-out for the lick-clean methodCons:I purchase this set just for the bowl. The cup is too small to be useful. I leave it at home.

I use the cup as a water bowl for my small dog and it has worked excellently. It is just the right size to carry on walks and holds enough water for him to drink. The bowls designed for dogs all seemed way too big for what I wanted and designed for labs or mastiffs. My dog has a full snout so the steep sides aren't an issue, but this cup would not be practical for a dog like an apple head chihuahua or a pug.I haven't used the bowl yet and haven't used the cup myself. The size of the cup is perfect if you want a small glass of something. If you want a cup that is much bigger than a literal measuring cup, this isn't for you. The bowl is a good size for cereal. The material for both feels sturdy.

For the price you pay they are good for hiking. The cup is a little on the small side and a little flimsy, but the bowl is perfect. Definitely worth it

Along with the Guyot Designs 5 in 1 Microbite Set. I bought them for camping and love them so much I use them for my lunch. They are easier to pack and that leaves me more room for food. They are dishwasher and microwave safe. I microwave a bowl of oatmeal every morning and use the cup for tea. Surprisingly, that cup only hold 2 oz less than a standard coffee cup, so it makes my tea a little strong....just like I like it.They do get hot to the touch with hot liquids in them. This may seem like common sense but a few people have burnt themselves on my cup of tea picking it up to check out the cup.
