This changing pad or diapering blanket is a pretty good size for most babies to be able to lie down on. It's similar in concept to the washable fabric potty pads for puppies, or whelping pads, since it has a waterproof layer sandwiched inside the soft, absorbent fabric layers on the top and bottom surfaces. In this case, those outer layers are a nice cotton with textures pressed in, and a soothing floral print on the top surface. It keeps baby from touching the surfaces you have to work on, and protects those surfaces from leakage at the same time. If there's an accident during changing, the pad is absorbent enough to catch that and prevent runoff (vinyl surfaces can't do that!).All in all, this is a great fabric solution for a changing pad, and a classy step up from just using assorted towels from the linen closet. It also folds up a lot smaller than any terrycloth towel, and it's easier to clean, whether by hand or in the laundry machines. It does say to wash it on "delicate" cycle and not to heat it beyond 30*C, probably to protect the inner waterproof layer. That's a bit of a downside compared to the pure cotton alternatives, which can handle a sterilizing hot wash, but I think it's a fair trade off considering the protection the waterproof middle layer provides for whatever is below it (couch, rug, table, etc). I know it's a compromise that will leave the "only natural fibers, no plastic" crowd displeased just as much as the "all must be wipeable and disposable plastic" crowd, but I see it as a happy middle road alternative. Plus, it's cute. I'd definitely be comfortable gifting this to a new mom at her baby shower.

I ordered this changing pad to keep in the trunk of my car for emergency, on-the-go diaper changes. I think it will work pretty well for that purpose, but the soft, cottony nature of this pad may not be best suited for that on-the-go purpose. I do think it is a bit burdensome to have to launder this instead of just being able to wipe it down. Other than that, it’s a good size, and the print is really gorgeous.

I bought this for diaper changes in my living room. It fits right into the side of my diaper caddy already and has such a cute deign! I am mostly happy because of the size of it! Even with my baby kicking and moving around, this stays flat under her and its waterproof! I have had a few times where a diaper change gets messy and this keeps the mess from getting to my floor or through it if I were to use a blanket. I have even thrown this into my diaper bag when I was in a rush and it is very portable! I wish I had gotten more than just one.

hakaa has lots of great baby items, including this changing pad liner. My daughter is no longer in diapers, but we use it as a bed liner now under the fitted sheet to protect the mattress. It works great! The print is cute too, but we don’t see it since we use it on my daughter’s bed now.Note: the care instructions recommend air drying

Beautiful floral print and very soft. It's a good size and can be rolled up into a diaper bag or backpack with no issues. Definitely an upgrade from the other change mats that have plastic lining all over them. Could be used as a breastfeeding cover or blanket if you're in a pickle and don't have any on hand. I would argue that this change pad is very water resistant but not entirely water proof hense the 4 stars.

This pattern of this Vintage Garden change mat is super nice - not boasting the usual pink and cutesy patterns of most others. It is gender neutral and offers a more upscale and sophisticated look to more traditional ones on the market. It is lightly quilted, cottony soft to the touch, lightweight and definitely skin-friendly. While I yet to have a leak or mess on my hands, I am confident of its waterproof capabilities. I have no reason to doubt. It's great for at-home purposes - be it on a change table, the sofa, or just about anywhere else. It is a perfect on-the go mat as well, easily foldable and let's you change outside the home with confidence and a sense of cleanliness on just about any surface. Stitching is impeccable and reinforced throughout. It's easy to wash and then good to go. Only issue I have is the price $27.99 as it may be considered a tad high for some. However, I suppose given all of its pluses, it is more than fair. I also have no doubt about its longevity. This would make for a great add-on to a baby shower gift.

These waterproof changing pads are essential for the diaper changing months (or years). The fabric is so soft and the patterns are beautiful. They fold or roll super compact so they are convenient to take on the go in a diaper bag. I replaced the flimsy pad my diaper bag came with for one of these and I love it!We never leave home without one or more, especially when we are traveling. Great for having a sanitary area on public changing tables but also wonderful for using on beds, floors, etc when you are visiting friends or family. Protect fabric coverings while also giving baby a soft and clean space to lay.These wash great which is so convenient to be able to just toss them in the laundry and dryer!

I got this may because it says it is all cotton and this is very nice for baby's skin. I don't like using changing mats made of synthetic material however I understand needing to use these materials to help with the waterproof availability. I like the pattern on this mat , it is definitely a keeper for me and my baby!

I love this changing pad! The design is so beautiful and I always get compliments on it! It helps me have a clean surface to clean my baby while we are out and about at stores or visiting anyone. Even just if I need to change her diaper in the car. It is also made out of a plastic material which makes is super easy to clean and disinfect. The size is also perfect and isn’t to big to carry around but also to small to not cover the whole area where my baby lays. It is super comfortable for her!
