This is exactly how I learned to read music in 3rd grade and started in the band the next year. Played throughout college. A great intro!

Very good. Easy to follow. Down side is you have to listen to an 8yr old murder Disney songs. Gives London burning and the other usual tunes a rest for a bit though. Buy these for the children of people you don't like. Or those you do!

My seven year old daughter loves playing this recorder, and has an easy time figuring out the system.The recorder and book are well worth the price.I can't say she's a talented musician, but at least she's having fun while I go slowly deaf.
