What is a murder mystery dinner party kit?
A murder mystery dinner party kit is a game package that allows you and your friends to leave your lives behind for a night and take on a new role and identity to help solve a murder. Each attendee, also a suspect in the murder, is assigned a character and custom script along with costume suggestions. There are dinner and drink suggestions and recipes for the host of the party to ensure the night will be one to remember!

"Halftime Hysteria" Game Description
You have been invited to a football party on game day at the house of one of the Colossal Football League’s most celebrated and accomplished quarterbacks, Hammer Rudy. Hammer held the title of “Least Amount of Career Interceptions” and had recently starred in the action film, The Last Earthling. It was widely known that Hammer threw the most exclusive house parties each year. At this year’s party, Hammer was outside grilling his famously delicious shish kabobs, when he was discovered murdered, tragically stabbed with one of his own skewers!

Let's be clear, this isn't a challenging "solve the mystery" puzzle for you and your friends to pore over with furrowed brows. This is an excuse to throw a fun party where everyone takes the role of a fictional character connected to a football game. Scripts are provided so everyone is sure to deliver the correct information, but it's the improvisation that makes it fun. Encourage everyone to go over the top and you'll have a great time! You'll figure out who the killer is easily, and have a great time doing it.

We had a great time using this for a party. The scripts are well-written, with great character development, each with their own potential motive for committing the murder. There are some great hints for how to act out the character as well, which made for a fun time for everyone, despite it being a first time acting for the most of us.The only thing that I think would have made this perfect was if there was some way to make the game re-usable with the same group (i.e., the first time that you play this, you would know the murderer, so the same group can't really play this game again). Given that the story really does provide a basis for most of the characters to legitimately be the murderer, I feel like there could be a few key evidence that gets turned (or just held back), allowing the host to choose the murderer at random for the same group. Especially given the pretty significant price point (~$45), I do feel like it is a bit expensive to be a one-time-use for a group.

This was our second time doing a murder mystery party, and this one was hilarious! The storyline is ridiculous, which all the best murder mystery games are! It is best played with four couples, or four women and four men, just because thats what the characters are written as. This game will be so much more fun if you have friends who are up for really getting goofy and getting into it! We had people dress up and some even did funny voices and it was hilarious! It does take a long chunk of time to play, so doing it over dinner or food is a good call. This game is football themed, but you don't have to be a football fan to enjoy it.

This game is hilarious! My friends and I had a really great time playing this, and none of us are even very big football fans. The game pack has everything you need to pull together a fun dinner event (or brunch in our case!). The script weaves you though a storyline that is just as ridiculous as it is fun, showcasing each character's own quirky personality and potential motive for murder. Highly recommend.
