I bought a pair 6 years ago, and wore them out. My lovely husband heats them up at 530 am and slips them on my arthritic hands before I wake up. Best hour of the day! The mitts add weight and thermal relief for painful stiff hands.

They work pretty good but don’t stay warm longer then 10 minutes and DO NOT get wet by any means ! Tried to clean mine with water like it says and let them air dry , went back to use them after couple day of drying cause they were still wet and they had molded horribly!! Had to throw them away !! It was disgusting :((. Waste of $35

I read several of the negative and positive reviews on these mittens and decided to give them a try. They are exactly as described on Amazon. They are heavy (1.5 pounds as described). I put them on my hands and settle in to watch TV and I find the weight comforting. I wouldn't want to try moving my arms around with the mittens on (unless I was at the gym working biceps - smile). I don't find the weight a negative characteristic but understand if some do. I also read that they have a strong odor that bothered some. My pair have almost no smell. I have had them for about a week so I will let you know if that changes in the future. The mittens are plenty big for my hands and cover my wrists and lower arms for full coverage (see photos). For me, these mittens are very helpful. The warmth soothes the arthritis pain in my wrists and fingers. It lasts for about 15-20 minutes if I put my hands with the mittens under a blanket on my lap or wrap them in towels. Please be aware these are considered a medical device and are not returnable. Thank goodness. I wouldn't want to put my hands in used mittens. My advice is to read the description carefully and decide for yourself. I am happy with my purchase and can recommend them.

Love theseLike: have arthritis & multiple joints that trigger - these give heat with a bit of moisture that really helps especially prior to doing physical therapy exercises. Big enough to even slip over my feet when they are hurting. Covers my wrists to help there also. Easy to pop into the microwave & warm up. Don’t risk ruining or exploding like many heating products.Dislike: has a bit of a grainy smell that triggers some allergies but not enough to keep me from using them as they are so effective. A bit pricey - looks like something that would be easy to sew up on your own - but then, people will pay for something that works & comparable in price to more elaborate medical devices that aren’t as effective.

These hold comforting heat for 30 minutes after 2 minutes in the microwave. Helps hands limber up in the mornings and in the evenings helps to relieve joint pain. Cold therapy doesn't last as long. After being in freezer overnight, only supplies 15 minutes of noticeable chill. These also are perfect to use as a warm compress to help with chest congestion - just warm in microwave and lay on upper chest.

I really love these heated pads. I aggravated my arthritis digging out from the recent snow and these pads made it feel a lot better. I marked it down to a “4” for two reasons. They only stay hot for 10-15 minutes, but of course they will heat right back up in another 90 seconds in the microwave. So, I normally heat them three times and have a good half hour of heat therapy. The weight of them clinging to my hands make them ever so much more effective than a plain heating pad. Secondly, I do not at all care for whatever scent of aromatherapy stuff they added. I found out later that they can be ordered unscented. Wish I would have known. My cat seems really attracted to them, however! Hoping that aroma wears off soon. I don’t have very small hands and they are plenty big enough for me. As in the picture, they go way up my arm past my wrist, which is what I needed Anyway, would definitely order them again!

Love these! I have the beginnings of arthritis in both hands but especially bad in my right hand. I bought a hot wax dip for myself and then bought these to put over the plastic bag on my hand after I dip in hot wax. BUT these mitts are so nice and toasty that I can use them to help the pain and help to stem the arthritis from getting worse without the hot wax dip! Fantastic investment! I keep them in the freezer covered in plastic bags so they are ready to pop into the microwave when needed. I have not used them "cold" yet and may never need to but keeping them in the freezer helps them heat up a bit better and hotter because of the moisture factor. Good quality and worth the money.

These mitts are AWESOME!! They're surprisingly heavy, and fully cover both of my XL hands. I suffer, badly, from Raynaud's Syndrome, and my hands get very cold, very fast when outside in the winter. Fingers get white, numb, no blood circulating, etc. When I come in from the cold now, I just stick these mitts in the microwave, and in 90 seconds I'm enjoying total surround heat for both hands. The mitts don't stay heated forever, but long enough to alleviate my symptoms and pain. I've found that 90 to 110 seconds is right for heating both mitts together. But be cautioned: you can make these dangerously hot. Just be conservative in finding out your ideal heating period. I'm not fearing the winter cold as much now that I have these mitts. If you like/love these mitts half as much as I do, you'll think they're worth every penny.
