My sun hat (also from Amazon) has a black band which doesn't necessarily match non-black outfits so well. I got this strap to make the hat less elegant, more casual, and more versatile when needed. It works perfect. It also looks super cute with a black swimsuit.The band could easily double as a decorative belt for shorts, too. Love it! Excellent value and great multipurpose wardrobe addition.

Bought for beach trip. Fits perfectly around my sun hat and my cowboy hat. To avoid separation I tied all three together when toying around hat to create a really cute bigger bow in the back.
