All-Weather and Solution-Dyed Synthetic DuraCord Fabric is resistant to rot, mold, and mildew.
Hook-and-Loop Fasteners
Sewn on the reverse side of the pillow to attach to the spreader bar of the hammock. Ideal to prevent the pillow from blowing away.
Non-absorbent Padding
Polyester fiberfill filling made from recycled soda bottles is found inside the hammock. The fiberfill is a nonabsorbent material allowing water to drain through and provide quick drying.

I purchased this pillow (along with the hammock) on September 8, 2011, so it and the hammock have been sitting outside for over six years. In that time, the hammock looks pretty much like it did the day I purchased it, other than some pollen which collects in the weave and which I have to wash out ever so often. However, the pillow has not held up well. The front of the pillow is, for lack of a better term, dissolving. On at over 2 dozen places on the front, the fabric is gone and the stuffing is protruding. On the back, one of the straps that holds the pillow to the hammock has rotted. See photos for all this. When the pillow was usable, I found it two firm. I removed some of the stuffing and it was very comfortable after that. In short, buy the hammock, you will never regret it and you will never find one better. Go to a local store and buy a green pillow that suits your taste, preferable one rated for outside use, and enjoy yourself. Oh, one more thing, the pillow is not holding it's color and is now turning my hands green.

I love this hammock and its accessories. What a high quality product! Would not change a thing. And I bought pillow and stand as well.

We bought the matching set: the hammock and the pillow. When the hammock was hung, its curvature was too much for the pillow as it was too thick and left one's head at a most uncomfortable angle. My chin was almost into my chest. Buy the hammock first, hang it; and then see what thickness you need to cushion your head. We do not even use a pillow in our hammock.

Bought this to match our hammock. The manufacturer seems to know you will do this and has jacked up the price. We paid the big money to have a matching pillow. It appears to be very durable thus far. Not the most comfortable pillow on the planet, you would think it would be for the money. I would have given it 4 stars had it been somewhat comfortable, but it's one step down from resting your head on a log. If you can live without a matching pillow, I would recommend against this thing.
