Increasing the performance of your vehicles braking system is easy when you choose Hawk Performance’s HPS braking compound. This unique Ferro-Carbon formula was developed for street performance using the safety and quality of Aerospace and Motorsports severe-duty friction technology. The High Performance Street compound offers a higher coefficient of friction over stock brake pads and can provide you 20-40 percent more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads. Less fade means you’ll have a highly durable brake pad with less brake dust.

I think the DTC60's give me much more stopping power over my previous pads. Right now, I have Hawk Black's on the rear and I like the balance.

I've used Hawk HP+ pads on previous vehicles and really liked them. These seem even better than I remember. Great bite when cold, good when hot (though I'm not tracking my car or anything like that), and these are totally silent. In past when I ran these pads my tiny little car always sounded like a dump truck stopping. Not anymore. Dust doesn't seem too bad either.

I've used Hawks pads on my na Miata for 29 years as well as other family cars. So, yeah I like them. Good quality pads at a good price.

These pads did not meet my expectations. They were a zero or a one. Off or on.

I use these for HPDE track days on my 2004 RX8 with steel brake lines and OEM rotors and calibers. They provide good bite even from cold and dont fade. I am on Laguna Seca (high braking track) and Sonoma Raceway (not as much braking). They do have high dust and will make noise on the street. I've also used these on Spec Miata along with CarboTech. These are a great compromise if you need a pad that works on the street and track. I do recommend them.

They work well. Don't fade etc but on a miata they squeak really badly. I wish you could buy QFM A1RM pads here.

First impression: I only have about 30 street miles on the pads but thus far they are awesome. These are my first track pads ever and although the dust is prolific I have never been able to whoa the car down with such authority. After 7 years of "lifetime" pads at the racetrack I can't express how pleased I am. I haven't hit the track yet though and that will be the true test.Squeal: I'll try to post more later but I have had minimal squeaking so far. Only after a few days did I get some squeaking right at the end of braking just before I come to a complete stop and it isn't bad. I get the feeling that if you have shims and grease them, the piston and any parts of the pad that touch the caliper that you wont' have much, if any, squeal.Dust: Yeah it's pretty heavy but I don't drive it a ton so I'll deal with that.Initial bite / fade. - Compared to the "lifetime" pads these actually have a lot more cold bite but do need to warm up a little before you can really get to stopping hard. Not too much though, just a little driving around and they are good to go.Not sure how long they'll last or if they'll eat my rotors but an American made product made in my state that is an awesome product is a win/win in my book. Happy motoring!

While I was a little annoyed when the package arrived to read the brakes were made of "Ferro-Carbon" and were not ceramic, a bit of research showed they are still good street-performance-level brakes and worth the price. I use them in my 99 Miata and they stop slightly better than the cheap semi-metallic brakes I had in before. After the break-in period there is literally no noise at all. Be sure to follow the brandishing instructions included with the brakes. All in all they're a great product and I highly recommend them. The description needs to be changed so people aren't upset when they find out the brakes are not ceramic.
