The stock pads on my 2008 335i had plenty of life left but I was not happy with their stopping power under heavy braking plus they were grabby. These Hawk pads are much better. They stop sooner, do not grab, are quiet and so far have not created any brake dust. You must replace the brake pad wear sensor when you install new pads. But DO NOT use the ones included with the Hawk pads. They are junk. Buy an official BMW part.

Originally swapped for track days but I ended up keeping them on the car to daily. BEST pads ever. They are heavily track oriented so it’s very individual-based on what scenarios you want to run them. I can’t emphasis enough how strong of a pad they are AND for this price, you can’t beat any other pad out there. These are amazing when they get hot and won’t fail till your rotors do, which won’t take long if you daily drive with them. I was shocked how insanely fast the car brakes from 60-0 mph and 100-0 mph. Worth every penny and I’ll be ordering another set once I order new rotors. If you want to have a very aggressive brake pad with a hard bite and zero fade, these are insane. Two complaints: They are very loud once they get hot and then spend time cooling down (they are racing pads after all so it was expected). Other complaint is the brake dust (also was expected) but it’s incredible how much can be produced in a short 10 min cruise. I’ll wash my car and after one drive, it’ll look like it hadn’t been washed in about a week. But as I’ve said, I love these pads and will continue to run them

Great brakes, no noise, progressive braking and stops better than stock. There’s an included grease pack to apply to reduce noise on the pads and to lubricate the caliper screws. I have a 2008 BMW 328i and I had to remove the metal clippings for the front brakes, but it wasn’t that hard to remove. Perhaps the clippings are needed for certain models, I’m not sure. The front brakes comes with 2 sensors but the rear did not come with sensors. The car only needed one sensor for the front and one for the rear. The front sensor is about 6 inches shorter than the rear sensors, so I just bought the rear sensor from Amazon.

This item did not fit my car. I had a 2007 BMW 530i which was manufactured in 2006. After confirmation of the part number with BMW and verified it with Amazon fitment tool, I ordered this set. The pads could not be installed due to the shim anchors protruding well into the caliper piston. I fought with it for a short while and decided that it was not worth having to pay for shipping to have it returned. So I took the grinding wheel and grounded off the shim anchors so it would sit flush with my caliper piston. The second issue was the sensor attachment point did not fit into the pad. The support backing plate was too thick for the sensor. I would not recommend this product due to poor fitment. I could not install the sensor at all and ended leaving it unattached. I had the same problem with both the front and the rear set of pads. Both were made by the same brand and were purchased from the same vendor.

I have experience with various Hawk pads from my old days of driving on the track (with other cars). The HPS's are a performance street pad though, so I wasn't sure what to expect. My usage is daily driving only (no more track time), occasionally spirited. I replaced all for corners at the same time on a 335i w/Sport package.- There is no noise to these pads. I made sure to spray a good amount of anti-squeal on the backs of the pads prior to installation, so make sure you do the same. So far though, no squeal at all.- There is noticeably less initial bite/friction when you apply the brakes with these. I always thought the OEM initial friction was too aggressive anyway, so I count this as an improvement actually, but it will require me to re-acclimate to the car a bit (pressing harder on the brake pedal than I'm used to)- Since I'm having to press a little harder on the brake pedal now, I'm noticing that my pedal is a little mushier than I ever realized before. You could always add stainless steel brake lines if it bothers you.- I have noticed that the pads are not as grippy when cold as they are after a few stops, especially compared to OEM. It's winter time now, so this may not be as bad in summer weather. It's not really a problem.. just something you might notice.- Once you warm them up a bit, they have enormous braking force, far stronger than the OEM pads were (you may start flirting with ABS more/sooner than you expect to). I haven't seen any signs of brake fade at high temps, even when pushing them pretty hard, but I'm not on a track.- I haven't had them long enough to evaluate dusting, but I expect it to be much better than stock. The sensors: the front pads come with two pad wear sensors. The E90 has one wear sensor on the front-left corner, and one on the rear-right. The sensor clips into a notch on the pad itself. Amazingly, even though the same company is supplying both the sensor and pad, they don't fit well together at all. The sensor basically just wants to fall out. I bent the little spring to try to make it as tight as possible, but in the end I am guessing the front one will fall out soon and the rear one I gave up and bundled and zip-tied it out of the way (so the computer warning will go away). I have half a brain (I hope!), so I can identify when my brake pads are worn out without the computer telling me, so I don't much care about losing this "feature". I mention it only because it might matter more to other people.Overall these are great pads and I'd happily purchase them again. Functionally, they lean more to the sporty side of things than OEM, but also are supposed to be much better in terms of wheel dust.

I have these on stoptech drilled rotors and there is no sound, and 90% less brake dust than OEM brakes. They dont have the initial bite like BMW OEM, but they will stop hard if you press hard. I like the feel of them a little better, those mistaken reaction brakes no longer throw you and your passenger into the dash board, it will gradually build up to a hard stop. I have just broken them in and did a little street performance driving and they are holding up well in the wet/cold/fall/winter weather so far. Excellent product.I bought these for sound and dust elimination. Worth it!
