About this item

  • Designed for Heavy Duty – SD Super Duty Brake Pads are built for trucks with extreme payloads and heavy towing needs.
  • Unmatched Fade Resistance – Features an extremely high coefficient of friction and fade resistance for consistent performance under heavy loads.
  • High-Temperature Durability – Engineered to withstand high temperatures and extreme rotor wear for long-lasting performance.
  • Ferro-Carbon Technology – Utilizes the same heavy-duty, severe-duty friction material used in mining, construction, and military applications.
  • Ideal for Professional Fleets – Recommended for 3/4or 1-ton trucks towing excessive payloads and commercial-grade vehicles.

Hawk’s SuperDuty Ferro-Carbon material is engineered for severe-duty professional truck fleets and trucks and SUVs towing heavy loads. This material offers unmatched braking performance under high inertia and repetitive braking applications. To drive safely with heavy payloads it is critical to have brakes that operate properly. Heavy fleet trucks and light trucks and SUVs carrying heavy tow loads experience high braking temperatures. Higher temperatures contribute to premature brake pad and rotor wear. Hawk Performance’s SuperDuty product is a sophisticated material that has an extremely high coefficient of friction designed to provide maximum truck and SUV stopping power with excellent high temperature heat dissipation. Upgrade your fleet or tow vehicle’s braking performance with Hawk Performance’s SuperDuty, Sever-Duty compound. Recommended for professional fleets (greater than 1 ton) and light trucks towing excessive payloads.

The pads were a breeze to install on my Ram 2500. With a 9' camper on board and a 20' boat behind I need dependable brakes and these fit the bill perfectly. No fading under heavy use on long downgrades. Excellent wear - 7,500 miles of highways and hills and the pads show no discernible wear.

Flushed fluid and installed front pads on 2008 2500 ram hemi at the same time. Brake's initial bite isn't as strong as before, despite bad pads and bad fluid. But overall stopping power seems at least as good, just requires getting further down the pedal. But more importantly, these pads squeal at low speeds. Once fully applied they don't squeak. But for something I drive everyday, on a part that will last quite a while, I think I'll spend the extra for oem pads

Put these back on my 2003 3500 Dodge Cummins after using pads from another brake performance company for 1000 miles. I should have never tossed my old set of Hawk pads, but they were worn to the old rotors. There is a noticeable difference in this pad vs the brake performance pads that came off and I really noticed the difference when I took a set of Hawks off to put the lesser performing pad (and new rotors) on the truck. Initial bite is better, no fade, modulation is better, and I am not pressing on the pedal as hard as I was to bring the vehicle to a halt. I know these pads will increase rotor wear and considering the vehicle goes thru rotors every few years, I would rather sacrifice the rotor over not being able to stop. I will use Hawk pads for as long as I own this vehicle.

Fit and work great on my BMW E39 2003 530i. the fronts squeak at slow speeds sometimes. not sure if this is going to stop over some more time. i bed them in with some aggressive driving and they work well hot and cold but its annoying to get the squeal sometimes at slow speed stopping. they are supposed to be quiet, unlike some other performance brake pads,
