Increasing the performance of your vehicles braking system is easy when you choose Hawk Performance's HPS braking compound. This unique Ferro-carbon formula was developed for street performance using the safety and quality of aerospace and motorsports severe-duty friction technology. The high performance street compound offers a higher coefficient of friction over stock brake pads and can provide you 20 to 40 percentage more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads. Less fade means you will have a highly durable brake pad with less brake dust.

They don't dust up as much but when you push them hard, they will dust.

Put in my Subaru with the wrx/300zx sumitomo calipers. Good bite and activated ABS with moderate pedal pressure. A little dusty on bed in but stopping power is worth it.

Very strong stopping power that's not too aggressive for street driving. Very low brake dust accumulation on wheels compared to standard pads.

Great bite, durable on the track.Don't buy it for street-riding! It will eat up your rotors, make wheels dirty as hell, will make disturbing sounds and you'll need to change them after just few months! But for track it's great

I've been installing Hawk HPS brake pads on my cars for the last 10 years and really like them. They are a good pad for daily driving that also perform pretty good on the track as well. Currently I have them on my daily driver that I do occasional track days and they last a good while. Brake dust is about the same as OEM and the Duralast brake pads that were on the car from the previous owner. I like that they feel a good amount better when driving around town and on the freeway compared to the OEM pads, they don't need to be warmed up to work well. On the track, they are adequately fade resistant, but on bigger tracks with higher speeds that go into hard braking zones, the pads can start to show signs of fade. I've only had fade a couple times while at the track, but I was pushing to brake a lot later and it was during the summer in 100+ degree weather. Adjusting your braking pressure and braking a slight amount earlier, and you should be fine. I'll keep buying these and when my SUV needs brakes, I'll be purchasing some Hawk pads for it as well.

These are not the correct pads for a 2006 STi as advertised. The correct part number for the STi is HB453F.585. Amazon has been great about the return process thus far, but their 'vehicle filter' feature needs work. These pads will fit the WRX TR and some other variants according to hawks website.

Noticeable improvement over OEM pads. With light pressure they break just like stock brakes, but as soon as you push that pedal down bit more they bite very nicely. There is split second moment when they break lightly, but then they bite. Not sure if they need bit of temp or something else. I didn't have them installed during winter so we'll see how they work in cold temp.On the negative side, they are dirty. Dust accumulates very quickly on your rims. Once in a while they would make some noise during light breaking.Overall I'm happy with the performance. Extra stopping power makes up for the dust and occasional squeak. After installation you should follow procedure to break-in the pads, otherwise they might not work properly according to the text on the box.
