This year the plastic stand on our artificial Christmas tree broke. This stand held the tree. It is not exceptional quality but not bad. It’s a lot better than those metal, red and green things that we used to hold live trees when I was growing up. It’s a good size and relatively easy to assemble. A pretty good value.

VRIEZOP Heavy Duty Christmas Tree Stand for Real & Large Artificial Trees, Adjustable for 2-5” Trunks, Up to 7.5 FT Live & 9 FT Artificial Trees - Holder Base with Water Reservoir, Black:I used it outside on my large and heavy artificial tree. It has withstood strong winds, rain etc and the tree still has not moved or fallen. My Christmas tree that I used here is 8 foot.

The main center section is reasonably strong but the design's weak link is the very thin plate metal used to brace the legs to the main center tree holder, The very thin metal when also welded to the leg is not up to the task of supporting the weight and forces that size of tree can exert on the base. By changing the side plates that steady the four legs the design would be significantly safer and more structurally reliable

Broke within a week; before Xmas. Not cheap but not sturdy.

This Christmas Tree stand is very sturdy and well built. Constructing the stand took about 5 minutes. You will need someone else to help you put a tree in the stand. When lifting a tree to put on the stand it is tough to see where the tree trunk goes into the stand. The bottom of the stand has a reservoir for water which is nice to keep the tree fresher longer. I expect this stand to last through many more Christmases!

This stand is probably really great for live trees. I was just disappointed because it said it would work for artificial trees, but that's not really what the design was for. It does come with all the tools for assembly, though it's harder than it looks to understand how to set it up, but not too hard. You probably want a really really thick trunk, but I can't say how strong it would be holding up a live tree. I can press the hinges down easily with my thumb, but it does have a lock feature. The ability for it to hold water is a neat feature too. However, the metal for the stand spokes isn't very strong either. One came with bent attachment flaps that I could bend back into shape with my hands.

This is pretty sturdy - especially for the price. Took a few minutes to assemble. Compact for storage.
