Compared to my old Henckels silverware from the 90s these are lighter and have thinner handles but still seem solid. I prefer the thicker handles because they're more comfortable. These can sometimes dig into your hand a little if you're trying to get peanut butter out of the jar, etc.

We purchased the large package of Alcea flatware several years ago. They look as nice today as back then. They have a smooth touch and shiny look. (They are truly disherwasher safe!)The weight is perfect and the design is elegant. We especially like the size of the teaspoons. Our recent purchase was to replace two pieces lost at a recent family gathering. So glad the smaller order was available for replacement purposes!

These were in my budget. I love the weight. But I really love the mouthfeel, these are well-made. Also, as someone sensitive to metal taste, these are nice, zero complaints here.The design is lovely but it's growing on me, and I like it more than when purchased.Care instructions are clear and reasonable.

I have been using this set of silverware for about five months now, and it is holding up very well. The pieces go through the dishwasher frequently, and they still look brand new. The one negative thing about them is they soak up heat. For instance, if you leave a spoon sitting in the pan while you’re heating up soup, the handle gets too hot to hold. Otherwise, they’re great.
