Honestly, the mat is trash—it ripped on the first day and isn’t even worth using. Total disappointment. The only redeeming part of this set is the ball and harness, which actually work fine. But you could probably find a similar setup for less money.We just tied the harness to my son and had him run up and down our long driveway to help him keep control of the ball. It does the job for training, but outside of the ball and harness, this set isn’t worth it. Save your money and buy the useful parts separately!

I'm looking for ways to help my team practice their footwork and this mat does a great job. I love the included training guide too. We haven't used the ball strap that keeps the ball close but we will be trying it out at the next practice. The mat is larger than I expected which is very nice. You actually feel like you have to work a little for it. Very happy with this and would love to order a few more so more than one player can practice on it at the same time.

I got this to go with a set of target nets.The mat is large enough for older players. It's heavy enough for solid surfaces. I don't think it's heavy enough for soft surfaces, like grass. The surface under the mat needs to be harder than soccer cleats. The material is heavy enough to lie flat but not reinforced against rips.The waist strap lets players practice without having to retrieve the ball every time. Not long enough for older players.Comes with a wrist wrap. It's well made for support. But, it's big enough for an adult, making it bulky on small wrists.Note: The set is made for all ages but lacks some minor considerations. The mat should have a pattern halfway for young players. (We used painter's tape.) There should be 2 elastic tethers; 1 short, 1 long.Good gift for a young enthusiastic player.

This training mat is used to improve your overall ball control and footwork for a soccer player. The mat itself is pretty thin, so you really have to be careful with it to keep it from ripping. I could see a major problem if you use this with your soccer cleats because I think it would rip more quickly if you use it like that.The mat comes with a harness as well that you can put the soccer ball in and keep close to you for practice juggling. My son did like playing with that for a while. The mat does take some skill and you will have to explain to a kid how to use it, and they will have to be disciplined in order to use the mat and follow the drill instructions.

I really had mixed feeling about this mat. I'll start with the good stuff - my kiddo loves it! He's definitely motivated by the bright colors and the whole pomp and circumstance of the training setup, and so he is really very motivated to make a go of it. I also like that it came with everything that he needs to be very self-contained and practice on his own, making it ideal for when I want the kiddos to take a break from each other. I am not, however, fully convinced on the quality of the material. It does not feel super durable and it gives me issues when we use it outside, where it's on grass and not a smooth floor. We have to take some extra time to get it positioned correctly when outdoors. Overall, though, it's been a lot of fun for my kid, who really likes it. I will update my review and rating should the material not stand up to use over time.
