I returned. Partly my fault, I assumed it was the larger Adler Nutcracker. Something seemed off about it. Not as pretty as most of Adler designs

I had just attended the San Francisco production of the nutcracker and wanted to get the Drosselmeier doll, the Kurt Adler Hollywood doll arrived quickly in great shape and I am quite pleased with this purchase.

We really like the Kurt Adler designs but this one fell short. The eye patch on it is just a bit off and wonky. I bought some felt at the craft store and made a new one which looks much better.

My Nutcracker arrived in poor condition. His moustache had fallen off and was loose in the box. His hat had a tiny chip on the front edge and the black hat was covered in white bits from the packaging and impossible to get them all off, making the hat not black but looking like it has snow all over it. The black feather in his hat also has white bits all stuck in it like snow. His beard is grey, not white like in the picture or white like his hair. The little nutcracker is at a different angle than shown in the picture. The black feather behind the little nutcracker was not attached and was mingled in with the beard. Very disappointing but can't be bothered with returning him so I have done my best to repair him but it will take a very long time to carefully remove all the white bits of packaging from within his feather and the grey beard looks odd with his white hair and the hat will never be black like in the picture. Not good quality at all.

Very good quality for the price, and great detail. His mustache popped off during shipping but with wood glue, I was able to reattach it and it is stronger than ever!

A great character nutcracker for my collection. Not to rush Christmas, but I can't wait to add him into my holiday decorating. I definitely recommend for nutcracker lovers or anyone thinking about a nutcracker.

Love this nutcracker! A very nice addition to any mantle or nutcracker collection. This Herr Drosselmeyer is not evil looking like so many of the others I’ve seen. This projects the character in a more positive light than many of the other nutcrackers of this character, who is supposed to be mysterious not evil looking. Well made, beautiful colors, love it!

I love the Nutcracker ballet and have wanted a set of ballet themed nutcrackers for a very long time. It's hard to find quality ballet themed nutcrackers at a reasonable price. Most of the nutcrackers in the $25 to $50 price range are cheaply made and some like Herr Drosselmeyer actually look creepy. I bought the Mouse King from this collection and he's cute and very well made so I decided to add the grandfather. I'm so glad that I did. He's amazing! His face has a lot of detail, his clothing is well made and even his watch and the small nutcracker that he's holding are carved with detail.
