I can’t report on effectiveness yet, because I solely bought them to match the Rooster d’Amour I have that use to be my Nanny’s! They are a great size and I’m giddy beyond belief. I don’t like storing my homemade sourdough in plastic because I think it makes it too soft so I’m eating something that will keep it protected but still dry. I’m planning to just wrap mine in the parchment paper it was cooked with and then inside these BEAUTIFUL bread bags!Great quality!

I bought these bags to keep my fresh homemade bread in, but they DO NOT keep the bread fresh. The bread completely dried out in just one day. I'm going to wax coat the inside with bees wax and see if that works.

I wasn’t expecting such a gorgeous and well made embroidery. I ordered another pair! Fits two Commercial sandwich bread bags with room, they look beautiful in a basket for store bought or homemade bread. Perfect country kitchen decor!

These bags are if high quality materials. They are plenty big enough to easily hold my 2.25 lb. loaves of bread. The bags keep the bread longer without molding. I guess that means even if the loaves do lose some of their moisture they are still usable for a longer period of time compared to a large plastic "bread" bin I purchased a little while ago. The bread didn't last much beyond 7 days before molding even when I sterilized the bin after use.

These were a hit! It was a late Christmas gift for my dad after a failed Etsy order. Luckily he absolutely loved these. They look just as pictured, the roosters have the same exact design as the actual roosters from Portugal. Bags are sturdy and good quality (from what he's reported) and they are the right size to hold a loaf of bread! Reasonably priced and came quickly too. If you're buying for someone who loves Portugal and baking bread they will love this. He's hard to buy for and these were perfect.
