This rasp simply does not work on my horses' hooves. I have been trimming horses for about 12 years and even the oldest, dullest hoof rasp in my barn has more bite than this rasp. It seems sharp, but I think the teeth are just the wrong size and shape for hooves. I have posted a photo of this rasp compared to my usual rasps. The teeth look completely different to me. I think the Precision Canada rasp might be good for wood or leather? I'm not sure. But I certainly don't recommend it for hooves.
