This isn't by no way a bad review. I would have given more stars but the screwdrivers are a bit on the weaker side for what I'm used to. If you will do light duty work with the screwdrivers you should be okay. In my line of work I would have broke them as soon as I used one. I strongly recommend the seller but beware that these screwdrivers are definitely light duty.

Bought a set, loaned them out, they never came back, so bought a second set. I do a lot of repair on Japanese-manufactured electronics. While regular Phillips screwdrivers can work, true JIS screwdrivers fit better and reduce the possibility of damaged or stripped screw heads. Highly recommended.

And no, the handles do not feel like they are made of cheap plastic as one negative review stated. My husband checked them out and said they were good drivers and the handles were well made for a set of drivers in this price range. This is a set of smaller screwdrivers manufactured to Japanese Industry Standards (JIS) that does not contain any longer or thicker drivers. My brother-in-law suggested this set to me to use with my mid-level higher-end sewing/embroidery machine which is made in Japan. I tested the drivers on a few screws and they fit and worked perfectly. Since they are not magnetized, he also suggested an inexpensive magnetizer. which I also purchased. If someone is in need of a set of JIS screwdrivers for repairing bikes and motorcycles made in Japan one should put out the money to buy a good Vessel brand or other more expensive and extensive set of drivers. For my sewing machine this set was just right.

I am a HAM operator and own a couple of Japanese radio. For some reason, the Japanese manufacturers insist on this JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) tooling. I think they do it to minimize self repair, but I digress. If you try and use SAE standard Philips screw drivers on these radios, you will end up damaging the screw heads. There are often grumpy old timers who insist they can use SAE tools on Japanese radios, but please don’t believe them. These are very sturdy and compatible JIS tools. They fit the screw heads and will tighten and loosen without damaging the screws.Note, these do not work well on standard Philips screws. They will damage them. Use this set for JIS screws only!!

If you do any work at all on Japanese cars or motorcycles, you really need a set of JIS screwdrivers.JIS - or Japanese Industry Standard - is a Pacific Rim standard used for "Philips" (cross) type screwdrivers. Most people, professional mechanics included, don't even know that such a thing exists. But every "Philips" screw on a Japanese vehicle is not a Philips screw at all, but a JIS screw. They can be identified with a small dot on the top of the screw.Philips screwdrivers don't fit JIS screws, at least not properly. Because they don't fit all the way into the screw, you tend to mangle the screw when attempting to tighten it, or loosen a tight one. If you have any "Philips" screws on your Japanese vehicle that are stripped or mangled, this is what has happened. The solution? A set of JIS screwdrivers. The first time you use a JIS screwdriver, you'll realize what you've been missing. It fits solidly into the screw, and turns it securely, without "camming out" like a Philips driver does. No mangling of the screw, no difficulty loosening or tightening fasteners. Philips screwdrivers were actually designed to cam out of the screw, to prevent over tightening. On soft JIS screws, this just destroys the screw head. The shafts on these screwdrivers is a bit more narrow than I expected, and the handles are hard plastic, but they are well engineered and built, and the price is a fraction of what you will pay elsewhere for JIS screwdrivers.
