Hub Centric Ring And Its Purpose:
Hub centric rings is plastic or metal piece that is inserted between the vehicle hub and the wheel center bore. It fills the gap in between. This allows the wheel bore to engage fully with the vehicle hub with the help of hub centric rings. Thus any vibrations caused by the gap is eliminated.

Technical Note:
To determine proper fitment you need to do a two things.
First you need to determine the center bore size, i.e. O.D. of the aftermarket wheel. Contact your wheel dealer if needed.
Then find out the vehicle hub size, i.e. I.D. When these match our hub ring description, they are the right size.

They fit but being plastic there just not all that sturdy. But i.d. o.d. measurements are spot on.

They take up the space to help center and support the wheel on the hub but they are plastic and not exactly a snug fit so I don't think they are doing much of anything. The ID chamfer is huge which also limits their engagement on the hub.

I recently picked up a 2001 Nissan Xterra for cheap and had a nearly new set of 16" tires for it. Problem was the Xterra has 15" wheels. I was able to pick up a used set of Tacoma wheels for cheap and these rings filled the gap between the wheel and the Nissan's hub perfectly. Metal rings may be better, but the lugs are bearing the stress, not the rings.
