How To Use The Seal Twistors:

STEP 1
Put one handle into the hole of the holder, place the seal between the claws

STEP 2
Lead the seal with one hand when turning the handle with the other

STEP 3
Hold both handles then take them away from the holder

STEP 4
Put the seal inside the groove

STEP 5
Release a handle then turn it back gently

STEP 6
Slide Twistor away from the gland smoothly

I paid $150 per cylinder to have seals replaced. i learned later all he did was replace the outer collar seal!It leaked again. This time I invested in the tools to learn to repair my own tractor.The correct tool allowed me to install the inner seal in less than 15 seconds , with zero frustrations. The entire job took 45 minutes for an entire rebuild kit from the dealer to restore the FEL cylinder. A great sense of personal satisfaction when using the proper tools. Build quality of tools are very high, the pick was perfect for not damaging machined surface and removal of O-Rings.If you own any equipment with hydraulics, this should be in your tool box.

Work as designed but was unaware that the center black piece is plastic. Not an issue now but not sure of the longevity in an oily environment.

Absolutely love this product! Been using this type of tool for years but having the full set was a game changer, I’ve increased my productivity by 3% since buying this which may not seem like much but I’ve been doing it for 24 years so speeding up and old hand like me that much is a lot, I can only imagine how much it would help someone just starting out. My hands no longer hurt from trying to collapse the smaller seals and having everything in one kit is a real time saver.

Not sure if there are other brands or tools for this use out there. But if you have ever tried to put some of these seals in a cylinder. This is by far the best way I have found to do it. I was replacing them in my loader and did the first one got frustrated and ordered this tool. Did the last three cylinders in the time it touch to do the first one without the tool. So if you have the money to spend on a specialty tool do it.

I do alot of hydraulic cylinder rebuilds in the course of my job. Smaller cylinders and certain u-cup seals can play hell on your fingers. Getting older and arthritis is reducing the strength in my fingers so I need something to help. A few days after getting it I had to do a fairly small cylinder so I broke out this kit. Tried to use the tool freehand but it's kinda awkward. Best thing to do is clamp (or permanently mount the included block if you can) the block down so now you can use both hands to effectively work the tool and guide the seal. I was very impressed and it made me wish I had ordered it years earlier when I first discovered it.

I'm a forklift tech and for years and years, I have always used my fingers and thumbs to set packings, then sometimes using needle nose pliers to finally set it, taking the risk of damaging the packing and having a return call for a leak. I came across a tilt cylinder reseal job and knowing those are small packings and hard to compress with your fingers, I ordered this kit. I will tell you, its the best set of tools for installing packings. I'm talking like seconds and the packing is installed. By the way the pick tool is great for scooping out o-rings.

This is a review for the product as well as the seller, both of which are excellent.The Product:Recently had to replace the packing on all four cylinders of a Bobcat A300. The rod seal for the first cylinder was a major PITA. Took probably 30 minutes of fighting with it and very sore fingers to get it in. By this time I wasn’t even sure the seal was still good (it was) as I had abused it so much getting it into place. Figured there had to be a better way and Googled it… up comes this kit.Bought the kit figuring if it saved me even half the aggravation for the other three cylinders that it would be worth it. All three took less than 10 seconds each with this tool, with no damage to the seal whatsoever. I used the yellow tool, and did have to “kidney bean shape” the seal a lot to get them, but once they were in place on the tool, it was a simple matter to place them into the cylinder end, unwind them, and withdraw the tool. I finished by using my finger to ‘pop’ the last little bit of seal in place.I would NEVER do a cylinder repack again without this tool, and would happily buy another if I ever lose or break this one. The tools seem sturdy, so I doubt with my use that I will ever break them. The rods are nicely plated with rubber coated handles, and the body of the tool is a very hard plastic.The Seller:My kit arrived missing the smallest tool (the blue one). Not a big deal at this moment as I needed the yellow one for the Bobcat, but I have an older log splitter that will use the smaller tool when it needs to be repacked.The seller reached out to me to be sure I was satisfied before I ever opened the box. When I did, I replied that I was missing a tool and asked if they could just forward that one on without returning the whole kit. He responded within hours (on a Sunday!) and said he would have a tool in the mail as soon as I passed along my address. I did, and received a new blue tool in a few days. Many thanks to the seller (Kit King) for quick and honest communication. Wish all online businesses were as straightforward to deal with.Bottom line:If you have even one small-to-medium sized cylinder to repack, and don’t want to invent a bunch of new inappropriate language to scream while you’re putting the rod seal in, this little tool kit is money very well spent.
