Well sized chunks some small some big. Definitely a great energy from then. Also they are my daughters birthstone. Would buy again!

Great selection for a bag of tailings, but I do believe there are some deposits of raw beryllium or chromium and or vanadium. I know it's not always easy to avoid sending rocks out with ores in them but these ones are rather toxic. Please go over them twice if not 3 times. Personally I'm ok with it but others may not be and it may come back to bite ya

As described. The emerald color goes to same saturation as polished stones I've ordered on Etsy which as we should all expect is not the AAA gemstone quality but a great beryl range with some darker and lighter green shades too. I added oil to bring color out. Don't order these stones expecting to add them to a tumbler, because indeed many pieces were small. There are enough pieces to where one is going in my bra, I can make a crystal grid or two, display some and give some. Content with purchase.

Una bolsa generosa de esmeraldas en bruto de diferentes tamaños. En general estoy satisfecha pero no son para nada tan verdes y puras como en el anuncio, son casi todas color gris oscuro o negras. De otro modo les daría cinco estrellas. En fin.

The last 3 photos are the 1 worked.

I ordered this one and a so called "high grade" version (from a different company) and believe it or not there's not enough difference in quality to justify the more expensive one. Maybe I just got lucky? Two of the stones from this emerald mix didn't have a single emerald on them, but the ones that did pretty much made up for that. I'm quite keen on the yellow-green emerald on the light grey rock (right center in picture included).

The pound we ordered was a decent mix of emerald and matrix. What is important to understand about emeralds is as follows: emeralds are cheap. All of the money spent on emeralds is in the labor. They are naturally flawed with cracks and shear lines. Almost any emerald you buy in a jewelry store is treated under heat and pressure with oil to fill and hide these flaws. That being said, freeing these emeralds from the matrix rock they formed in is a chore, but with a dremel sander you can remove most of it and rotary tumbling does a fine job of removing the rest. This rough stock is suitable for this purpose.

what I received was the tailings of a picked through pound of brazillian emeralds how do I know this, ten years ago I had bought several pounds 25 lbs to be exact and had maybe 5 pounds of tailings( junk) ,what I received was mostly matrix and extremely poor quality, my assumption is someone bought went through the best and sold the crap one stone out of that pound was good and the emerald was 1/4 in,

I bought the 1 lb bag just because I was unsure of what I might be getting....should have gotten a larger size! I have lots of beautiful pieces, two of which are pretty large and are going to be going on my shelf to display. I was extremely pleased to get a piece that was pretty much all emerald. That one I'm going to make into a necklace for myself as soon as I find a chain or cord that will complement it.They do come pretty dirty though, and the ones in the photo are wet. In my photos(mini droid for scale) mine are dry, but I've cleaned them. All I used was an old tooth brush and dawn dish soap but I'm sure there's some way to clean them and keep the gorgeous color they show when wet.
