I picked up the ICE CO 82mm ND100000 MC Optical Glass Filter to take some solar pictures - the upcoming solar eclipse, well I'm excited for it! Testing this out by taking some photos of the sun was quite awesome. You can actually see the sunspots through the camera and on the final image, it's pretty incredible. I'm excited to snag some photos of the eclipse coming up here!If you're looking for a way to capture photos of the coming eclipses, then look no further than this ND100000 filter!

Really dark filter. Worked good for the eclipse, but you do lose all the color because of the tint

It is actually a little hard to review this Ice Co ND filter as it is almost like looking through a solid black piece of glass. 100,000 ND is really only useful if you are going to be shooting a solar eclipse, or pictures of the sun or other really bright source of light. However, I did test this filter out and it actually enabled me to get some quality images of the sun and other light sources, although it really is meant for shooting the next eclipse. I feel it may come in handy with some moon shots as well as some extended exposure shots. As usual from my past experience with Ice Co filters, this filter is quality glass, has good threads, and is easy to put on and take off your lens. I won't be using this filter as often as other ones, but when I want to shoot something bright, like the sun, this is a definite help.
